usual thread starter… so Charlie thinks to stablilise the club further, the existing directors should be buying up more shares. And this is likely to happen from the sound of his tone. Sorry, don’t buy that. Red and White Holdings have been buying up shares here and there since getting hold of David Dein’s. There is an order out to buy. No such order from any board members. So, sorry to the writer, but Charlie’s words can only have been opinion and not based on any reality. Still, as long as the board stay strong, they have enough shares to retain control of the club. Do you think they will take the money and run if Red & White Holdings make them the kind of (financial) offer they can’t refuse? They could disappear tomorrow (not in the literal sense of the word, you understand! God you have to be so careful with your wording these days!)
The Charlie George Stadium Tour Experience (13/9)
i feel because the board keep saying that they will do nothing for a year that any offer big enough after next april will see them selling there shares,, think its all poker faces from them at the moment,,just look at the clubs that hav changed hands ie man city, villa, liverpool, man u, all at some stage hav said no but when the money was put on the table, different story. our board will be no different,, money talks and big money talks bigger.

We did the Highbury tour with Charlie George. He was very good, and talked in depth about his time at the club, how it has changed etc. We also did the tour with Paul Davis who wasnt as good.
Tours are a great way to have a look behind the scenes and I highly recomend them as a day out.
(Do I get any commission for this?!)

We did the Highbury and Grove tours with the same bloke - he was ok, but not a former player. And I have to say that I was insanely jealous of the bastard which clouded my view of the tour! Still managed to get pictures of the kids with Sammy Nelson & Kenny Sanson. Maybe one day we'll save up and do the Legends tour which, according to form, should be with Nigel Winterburn! We enjoyed the museum. Yes, there could and should be trophies there - but we still felt it was well worth a visit.
