Nasri or Arshavin?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

yeah it really jars reading everyone's optimistic predictions... oh well, tonight will give us either something to cheer or something new to moan about. Sure Arshavin will want to give his all... if he does it will only serve to highlight that he should have been on the pitch on Saturday. Maybe Wenger didn't play him because he was scared he'd fall down a divot hole?

Tonight we'll have both playing I reckon. With Ade and RVP out I can see Bendnter partnering AA23 with TW14 and SN8 on the wings.

Or 'Feltham' and 'Marlborough' to give them their full titles

I cannot believe that he would leave both players out of a cup semi final to turn around and play them tonight  :banghead: :banghead:

for me Arshavin

my dream midfield would be

Walcott, Cesc (maybe Nasri) Arshavin

a lot of skill and pace in the midfield, bit worried about lack of steel and power though

You know, I thought about this thread when the FA cup game was on and he didnt start either of them. Next time I'll avoid starting a thread that assumes anything about Wenger....like that he's smart enough to field his best players in a semi-final.

Comparing AA with Nasri is like comparing Bergkamp with Palour .AA plays well home and away.

For me, love Nasri, but its gotta be Arshavin. I understand they both play out of position on the left and are both better suited coming inside to the middle behind the strikers, but Arshavin has that little bit extra that Nasri doesnt right now. He's quicker on and off the ball and gets himself at least a couple chances a game, whereas Nasri can disappear the whole game.
arshavin for me even before his exploits tonite you can see he's goin to be great for us
