C/L Final ticket - How much

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

C/L Final ticket - How much

Post by MutleyGooner »

Looking on ebay today, tickets for the Champions League Final are already changing hands for vast sums of money. If we were to get to the Final, how much would you be willing to pay for a pair of tickets?

You'd be lucky....! I went to Paris willing to pay £400 for one ticket. But it was obvious from conversations on the ferry going over that this wouldn't get me a sniff. I heard people talking about upwards of £1,000 each!

Better to register on United and Chelsea forums and cosy up to the wankers, hoping that one of their fans who got a ticket direct from UEFA will take pity on you and offer to sell theirs at face value when they get knocked out :barscarf: !

Yeah, realise I would be unlikely to get them for £200 each, but I wouldn't pay any more than that. Big finals are when football and capitalism merge in one horrible corporate pot.

You'll either be lucky - and get them for face value - or you'll pay £000's. There is no in between.

I went to Copenhagen for the CWCF in 94 (?) and didn't have a ticket. I was queing up at the long stay car park at Stansted and bumped into someone who had 2 spares, face value! I know tickets were far easier to come by for that match....but just shows you can sometimes be in right place at right time.

In Paris they went for between €600 and €2000 each that I saw personally. Didn't hear of anyone getting one for less.

I had a Uefa lottery ticket for Paris but no luck this time. Would pay whatever I had on me and sleep rough and hungry if need be. Prob go as high as a thou... How I'd justify that to my missus, fuck only knows... :?

I went to paris with £1000 to spend on a ticket, still couldn't get one, was offered one for £1200, another gooner showed me his ticket and the print looked decidedly different fromt the one I was being offered.
Best advice is not to buy from any unauthorised source.

True. There were shitloads of fakes in Paris. Some of them didn't even look vaguely like the real thing. Basic errors on them too - like the names of both clubs etc...

the tickets are like credit cards with chip in them so harder to fakes
but probably easier for them to cancel on u once sold.

also is it going to be much fun in rome where u will get shit kicked out of u for going in wrong pub or walking round town on your own,,,some rome fans are well up for it by sound of things

I was offered a £1000 outside the ground in Paris 2 hours before the start - reckon it would have gone even higher
