HAPPY DAYS FOR OLD GOONERS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I had a poster from the Carling cup match of Rocky scoring the winner last season at home with the Evening standed but left it on my wall at the stadium for all to see, i was sad to not see it again

I was at that game, could only get tickets in the home end and then told a police man we had been sold the wrong tickets so they escorted us thru the shelf avoiding the spit and along the outside of the pitch. We got a big cheer from the Arsenal end as they thought we were being thrown out for fighting. We then got put in the away end and had the night of our lives, until we got attacked after the game. But worth it. Went to the final too.

The highlights of this was on Midweek Sports Special the same night that Terry Marsh, who was trained by my uncle as an amateur, won the world Welterweight title.

I had it on tape but accidently taped over it many years later.
