WHY ARE THE 'EXPERTS' ON MATCH OF THE DAY WANKERS??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WHY ARE THE 'EXPERTS' ON MATCH OF THE DAY WANKERS??

Post by I Hate Hleb »

HAVING JUST SEEN THE SPURS/ARSENAL HIGHLIGHTS ON MATCH OF THE DAY, I'VE GOT TO SAY THAT A LONG HELD SUSPICION OF MINE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED - THEY FUCKING HATE US!!

EVEN THOUGH WE HAD 9 SHOTS ON TARGET AND THE SPUDS ONLY 2, ALAN HANSEN AND HIS COMICAL SIDE-KICKS ON THE BIASED BROADCASTING CORPORATION CLAIMED THAT SPURS SOMEHOW DESERVED TO WIN!! :?

FECKING HELL, ANYONE WITH ANY FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE COULD SEE WE DOMINATED THE FIRST HALF AND WOULD HAVE BEEN 3 OR 4 UP
EXCEPT FOR ROBINSON'S SAVES. WE EVEN MISSED A COUPLE OF CHANCES IN THE SECOND BEFORE WE SCORED THE EQUALISER. YES,
THEY MISSED A COUPLE OF CHANCES AS WELL IN THE SECOND HALF
BUT ALL THE STATISTICS POINT TO ARSENAL BEING THE SIDE THAT DOMINATED THE MAJORITY OF THE GAME. BUT DID THE BBC REFLECT THAT? OF COURSE THEY FUCKING DIDN'T!!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT ANY ARSENAL FAN THAT WANTS TO GET A TRUE REFLECTION OF OUR GAMES AND HOW WE PLAYED IN THEM AVOID WATCHING THIS PILE OF CRAP THAT IS MASCARADING AS A SERIOUS FOOTBALL PROGRAMME. :x

INSTEAD, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU WATCH FOOTBALL FIRST ON SKY SPORTS 1 (THOSE THAT HAVE IT), WHICH GIVES NEARLY 80 MINUTES OF MATCH HIGHLIGHTS IN WHICH YOU CAN SEE THE TRUE NATURE OF OUR DISPLAY - GOOD, BAD OR INDIFFERENT. 8)

TO TELL THE TRUTH, I'VE LONG SINCE STOPPED TUNING IN RELIGIOUSLY TO THE PROGRAMME LIKE I ONCE DID AND ONLY WATCH M.O.T.D. NOWADAYS AFTER WE HAVE HAD A GOOD RESULT - AND THAT'S ONLY TO SEE HOW THEY PORTRAY OUR DISPLAY. ALAS, THEY STILL TALK BOLLOCKS EVEN WHEN WE DO PLAY WELL AND WIN. :x

The expert over here is Robbie Slater who speaks for 10 mins before a match and then cuts to the commentary from England.

Oh, and at half time he introduces the highlights reel...

Oh, and if the game starts after midnight, its just ads during half time, and some 'premier league quizzes', highlight reels, and previews....

Yeah, I suppose we should be grateful to the fecking motd crew for showing our match first ... .. at least thats better than the fecking sky sports prefering livershit V pompey to a real annual classic ..

on the motd crew, Alan Shearer is class .. just like when he was a player .. the crunts there are hansen (especially him) and lineker ... hansen has his head in his backside and only sees what he chooses to see .. what a fecking tosser ...

For a real analysis, tune into the sky sports show of andy grey at 6.30pm (ss1 or 2 .. not sure now) .. I think its called 'The last word' ... its only a 30 mins program but its really impressive .. and andy grey's unbiased analysis is a fecking breath of fresh air ...

MOTD bunch of tossers, wrote us off at start of season saying we will struggle for a top four finish and would be missing Henry so much. Okay we may not go on and win the title but a top three finish should be within our capabilities.

I've been saying MOTD are a bunch of pricks for a while
Who do we have on there against us???
Mainly everyone for reasons
Lineker, he is a former Spud
Alan Hansen, still crying over 89
Mark Lawrenson, hasn't got a scoby about football
Alan Shearer, he might have something against us after the cup final but otherwise he's a lot sweeter than the others
Lee Dixon, of course the only Arsenal player that sometimes appears but it seems when things are down so no sighting of him so far
Gavin Peacock, isn't on much so i can't have a big dig at him
Peter Schmeichel, whats more to say he hates Arsenal being a Manc for years & his rows with Wrighty who sadly isn't on the sofa more often apart from England games
I thought i wouldn't say this but bring back the Premiership on ITV

totally agree with all ur comments - i only watch MOTD purely for the highlights - i dont have sky sports, im not bothered in the analysis because they ask such stupid questions i.e. asking bale about the pressure on jol, and that stupid question to southgate asking him if he was pleased with a 3-0 loss cos they made chances! idiots.
The bbc has always had a bias against arsenal, and certainly the first half highlights were, to say the least, short and sweet and did us very little justice in showing how we controlled the game in 1st half. The spudz were wasteful in front of goal, so to some extent they have a point - if berbatov had scored, the game may have been different, but our undoubted quality won the day - i love it when adebayor celebrates in front of their fans!!

Anyway, hansen is prob the only one on the prog (usually) worth listening, lawro and lineker just try to be a bunch of comedians, whihc is so shocking, and shearer just talks bollocks.

Could'nt agree more mate, I saw the whole game in the 12 Pins and we were all over the bastards for 80% of the time. Ok they missed a few chances but you always expect a home side to have some chances during the course of the game. I got in rather the worse for wear  but extrmeley happy, just in time to see the highlights while ramming a takeaway down me gob. I could'nt believe what the wankers were saying, how the fuck did they think that the floundering spuds were unlucky? The other thing that pissed me off but did'nt surprise me coz he's been doing it for donkeys years but Motty's commentary could'nt hide his love for the spuds and hatred for us, did you notice his disappointed tone of voice when we scored? Oh well, I'm used to it and expect nothing else. It'd be nice to really get the credit we deserve just for once tho.

I agree too. Sky is far superior to the BBC in all things sporting. On Sky Sports 'Sunday Supplement' this morning all four journalists agreed Arsenal were the most entertaining team and they would even PAY to watch them! Echoed by the 'Goals on Sunday' crowd in the next programme (though wasn't Claire Tomlinson PR at Highbury). I too am looking forward to Andy Gray's the last word. Though I bet they are all regeretting the limited Arsenal coverage this season. Bet it changes for the better in January! :( :D :D :D

Remember this is the Sky that has Richard Keys, Jamie Redknapp and didn't show the derby.

I watched a recording of Match of the Day this afternoon and it didn't seem that biased. They claimed that the score could have been anything, which was true enough and they decided to point at the flaws of Spurs. Saying "Arsenal's cb looked a bit weak since they had a midfielder there" isn't going to be as good as how much the defending and finishing of Spurs was awful while giving us a few compliments. They poked holes in the troubled Spurs and fair enough for doing that, we will have a cb back soon while can Spurs get over their own problems?
