Without Shava & with Nasri possibly in the middle, we’re more likely to have a Diaby or an Eboue in one of the wide positions meaning less support for Adebayor from at least one wing. So he’s gonna have to put in the sort of performance he did at OT a few years ago when we won 1-0 & he scored the winner. He ran his nuts off that day & Ferdinand said it was the hardest game any striker had ever given him.

So then, hands up who’s confident he’ll repeat that performance?
Well done on your good memory IUFGN. You remember when Greedy ran his nuts off. Those were the pre £80k a week days.

If yesterdays 20mins were anything to go by expect the worse

And I quote 'I will do everything it takes to reach the final.' Ade talks the talk now lets see if he walks the walk.

Let's not overlok the terrier like performance Nasri put in yesterday. Deeper role suited a man with his engine. We might need him to mop up at the back. :?

I dont think it is anything to worry about, if it was that bad surely he would of come off after downing kicked him yesterday. he says in this interview his knee (same one he injured v scousers) and ankle got tangled up and he was just scared as it was the same knee.

Going to the game on wednesday, i dont think it is hard to realise a lot will depend on this first leg. ladyboy up against gibbs  if we do concede can we not let in another 10 mins later?

i think wengers team will be:

**********ALMUNIA*********
SAGNA**TOURE**DJOUROU**GIBBS
******DENILSON******SONG*****
WALCOTT****FABREGAS***NASRI
*********ADEBAYOR***********

SUBS: FABIANSKI,SILVESTRE,EBOUE,BENDNTER,DIABY,VELA.EDUARDO

Team that won 2-1 at the Grove in Nov
**********ALMUNIA*********
SAGNA**GALLAS**SILVESTRE**CLICHY
****DIABY******DENILSON***
WALCOTT****FABREGAS***NASRI
*********BENDTNER***********

VS

**********VAN DER SAR*********
G.NEVILLE**RIO**VIDIC**EVRA
CRISTIANO**CARRICK***ANDERSON***PARK
******BERBA*****ROONEY******

Match Stats
Arsenal Manchester United
Shots (on Goal) 15(5) 23(6)
Fouls 18 8
Corner Kicks 5 6
Offsides 1 2
Time of Possession 46% 54%
Yellow Cards 3 2
Red Cards 0 0
Saves 5 3

Team I expect at OT

**********ALMUNIA*********
SAGNA**TOURE**DJOUROU**GIBBS
************SONG***************
WALCOTT**DIABY**FABREGAS***NASRI
*********ADEBAYOR***********

as always Arsene will pick players capable of keeping the ball and also swooping positions which Nasri and Diaby will do. Though I wont be suprised if Denilson starts as he can atleast move a yard faster than Song.

Controlling the game will frustrate Utd, Rooney in particular and
Movement will cause problems for Rio and Vidic like it did in the 2-1 win this season.

Unlike some I trust Djourou to do the business, I believe his turning point was when he scored the own goal in the chelski match but he shrugged it off quickly and put in a performance.

I think we'll probably lose 3-1. Seems like a bad score but we can overcome that at home.

I will be 100 quid that we go 4-5-1 as annoying as it is :banghead:

---------------Almunia---------------------
Sagna------DJ---------Kolo----------Gibbs
Theo------Denilson----Song---------Nasri
-------------------------Cesc--------------

-----------Ade-------------------------
Subs: Silvestre, Diaby, Eboue, Bendtner, Vela, Fabianski, Ramsey

2-2

For some reason I have got a horrible feeling he is going to play Sylvestre ahead of Djourou, citing experience as the key. Other than that I think it's a straight choice between Denilson & Diaby. Surely Nasri will play wide left (even though he looked good in the deep role at the weekend

I had the most awesome dream last night that we turned these c**ts over 7-1. Its never going to happen and I was quite f**ked off when my alarm went off!

Can't think of anything else at the moment and I'm a bag of nerves. Get the away goal and avoid getting hammered, then we'll take this lot at the Grove. :barscarf:
