Barca v Chavs

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

because they know they can beat them at the bridge. they also were the first team to shut barca out in some 50 odd matches. thats how its a good result.
0-0 away from home is never a good result.

well that was a wasted 90 minutes of my life, what a load of old tosh. Hleb in his usual form in front of goal

Henry pretty quiet, eto too, messi not best player in world on that form and that barca wonder kid missed a sitter.

All in all Arsenal are capable of beating either of these teams on our day should we make the final

10 out of 10 for diving and play acting though, thought I was seeing a "dive-off" for a minute there, each team trying to outdo the other with dives and rolls, think drogba just about won it with a 5.9, alves second with a 5.8

Chelsea had ONE attack. If they have a 100% strike rate next week, they might have a chance.

It would be a travesty if this anti-football fucking piece of shit got through to the final again.

At least tomorrow, we're fairly likely to get a good game, regardless of the result.

Terry is currently raving about the referee; not surprised, Ballack should have been sent off, Alex should have been sent off, Botswana should have been booked in the second minute..... would have been a completely different game if the ref had fucking grown a pair :banghead:

If Chelsea get through it makes me wonder whether it's worth beating ManUre! I think I hate them more than the Spuds. What a REALLY exciting game....

I have never seen a team pass the ball back to the keeper as much since the law was outlawed as the Russian mafia did tonight. I wonder how much that criminal Abramovic bought the referee for?

I love how, according to Townsend & co, it was "an inspired performance & a great result" from Chelski :? Idiots. It was far from a great result & you just know that if it had been us in place of Chavs the analysis would have been "Barca dominated Arsenal all night - the Gunners couldn't muster any kind of attack" etc etc etc. Load'a ballacks.

How many chances did chelsea have 1 townsend talks bollocks most of the time.I think 0-0 is a terrible result if barca score 1 chelsea have to score twice and so on.Thats why tomorrow night we have to score at least 1 away goal.

Before the QF’s I said I thought whoever won out of Mousers/Chavs would beat Barcelona.

But after tonight I’m more confident Barca will take them in the second leg. Chelsea clearly played for that result in the hope that they’d get one chance from a mistake or maybe a set-piece. They did. Drogba f*cked it. Let the media fawn over it all they want, 0-0 away is not a great result.

I just hope Barca have learnt from what happened last year when Ushtd did exactly the same thing in the first leg & then won the second 1-0.
