YOU ASK FOR SOME OF HIS OTHER ATTRIBUTES AND WHEN I GIVE THEM - ALONG WITH ARSENE'S OPINION OF ADEBAYOR -YOU'RE STILL NOT HAPPY!!

YOU SAY HE DOESN'T SCORE MANY HEADED GOALS BUT HOW MANY HIGH CROSSES DO WE TEND TO PUT IN? LESS THEN MOST TEAMS I WOULD CONFIDENTLY SAY. AND YES, YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT WE HAVE SOMEONE TO AIM THE BALL UP TO ON OCCASIONS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE LACKED FOR A WHILE - A TARGET MAN.
YOU CONCEDE THAT HE DOES HOLD THE BALL UP FOR US BUT THEN IMPLY THAT HE IS NOT EVEN THAT GOOD AT IT. COMPARED TO WHO? AND ANYWAY, WHO ELSE IN THE SIDE OFFERS US THOSE OPTIONS?
AS FOR GIVING DEFENDERS A HARD TIME - THAT INVOLVES MORE THAN JUST 'RUNNING AROUND'. HE GIVES DEFENDERS TROUBLE COMPETING IN THE AIR FOR BALLS AND WITH HIS MOVEMENT, AS RIO AND JOHN TERRY HAVE ALREADY TESTIFIED.
NO-ONE SAID THAT YOU HAD TO AGREE WITH THOSE OPINIONS TONY, BUT TO DISMISS THEM SO READILY IS A BIT CHURLISH! OR ARE YOU DOING AN ADRIAN DURHAM/MAGIC HAT, AND DELIBERATELY ARGUING FOR THE SAKE OF IT![]()

1) You're right, I'm not happy with the attributes you offered in defense of him because I would like to have a striker in my team with more in his arsenal (so to speak) than that. Hope that's OK with you.
2) As regards headed goals - he doesn't score many headed goals, but one of the defenses of him is that he's good in the air. I have seen very little proof of this 'being good in the air'. As for him being a target man, I think that's complete rubbish. I know he's deployed as one, but I don't think he's very good at it. Again, are you sure it's OK for me to say such a slanderous thing?!
3) There is a difference between saying he does hold the ball up and saying he has been known to do it. I have been known to play tennis. I wouldn't call myself a tennis player, though. Who else is in the side that offers us the options that Ade does? No one else. I see where you're going with that, but using that as an argument is never going to convince me.
4) Rio and John Terry reckon Ade gave them a hard time right? Well I can't argue with that, but at the same time, although he was hard to play against, they succeeded, didn't they (apart from Rio in one game)? If we lose to United or Chelsea this year, I won't be consoled by "oh well, at least Ade was tough to play against".
5) My disagreeing with you couldn't be less churlish, actually. All I've done is voice my opinion and because it goes against the grain, it would appear that certain individuals have a real bee in their bonnet about it. Tell you what mate, why don't we all just agree with everyone on here? That would make this place much more entertaining, wouldn't it?

As I said last time, I'm going to leave it now. Difference is, I'm actually going to do it this time. After my wanting to agree to disagree, your asking me whether I was deliberately arguing for the sake of it was a bit rich, wouldn't you say?
