the 12 pins experience

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyone see the fella in the "Martin Jol's Leaving Party" t shirt? I want one of those bad boys now

Yep, I saw the T-shirt, brilliant  Did you see the guy outside who fell over and whacked his head trying to kick the ball and was unconcious for a while but woke up just as the ambulance turned up?
yeah I was standing a couple of yards from him. I thought he was just pretending to be injured to hide the embarrassment of the fall. Could have sworn he hit the back of his head, but stayed down holding his face. cheat cheat cheat

I thought that the amount of booze he seemed to have consumed also had an effect  I was only a few feet from him too.
Hope there's a few more days like that in the Pins this season :D

Resurrecting some old threads today...

Sounds like a good time during the game...I don't know if anyone can help me by filling in a few blanks.

I was at shite hart lane for the game (my first back in the Motherland this season) with my Dad. Needless to say, pumped up after the game, even after trek back to Seven Sisters then Finsbury Park. Popped into the 12 Pins (for first time in a decade) for a celebratory pint(s) and to meet a mate of mine. Obviously the crowd had cleared a little, most people were outside.

However, I didn't find the atmosphere outside the pub to be friendly. I missed my mate by a few minutes but he told me there were some bottles thrown. I saw some "kids" goading the police - only for more police to turn up. Then some guys started sitting in the street! Also, I got a serious message on my phone. so therefore looked serious, and got accused of being a **** shouted in my face!!

We had our pint and then shifted to the Auld Triangle. Not much atmosphere but no hassle either. Perhaps something pissed off these guys outside, maybe not - Either way, wanted to try this place after so many mentioned it but didn't work out so well on this occasion.
