Do you honestly think Wenger will change his ways?Is there a more stubborn manager than him?
Yes, Brian Clough.

He's not really dead you know. He refused to die and is living on an island somewhere. Death got smacked the fuck up when he came calling for Cloughie.

This time last year I gave Wenger one more year. But despite tonights huge blow I feel with Arshavin onboard next year I truly feel we can give the champions league a real rattle. Now I'm not saying that one man makes a team however, it is clear to all that his drive and energy lends our side a whole new dynamic.

Arsene has to see that the addition of a few more tried and tested players along with the Vela, Theo, Ramsey and cesc's in our squad would make a huge differance, he has to see that. You only get what you pay for after all.

With Stan K now having so much influence at the club having put his own choice of ceo at the helm, he will surely push for a return on the investment, if that means a takeover then so be it I say.

I will hold fire on Wenger for a while longer guys. Be carefull what you wish for......

I'm really not in the mood to respond properly to yet another "Arsene out" thread. Probably best to make it a sticky.

It's late, I'm tired, and I'm gutted.

But do I want Wenger to walk, or be sacked?? NO... not one bit.

you're an idiot. wenger has created a team that will come good.
nobody thought we would even make the semi-final, it was a bonus. It was a mistake that cost us tonight, an honest mistake, not wengers fauklt. Be patient or go support a team that has regular cash supported trophies.

On another note, shame to all you who left early tonight. That is a great way to nuture young talent...

I would lover wenger to renew his contract for the forseeable future and prove you wrong...

As said early this season, if no trophy this season, AW must have to leave this summer. We all respect what he did to the club. I don't want him to get sucked. So this is a good timing for him to accept the offer from Real Madrid.

To be honest, I want AW to stay or give him one more season. But if he fucks out another season or so, all my sweet feelings towards this man will go with the wind. I really don't see that he will buy in some good and experienced players and sell some useless crunts in our squad.

I am gutted. If we look at our last 4 seasons, this season is the worst:
2005-2006 CL Final
2006-2007 Carling Cup Final
2007-2008 So closed to win the League (we should have won it if not drew with Birmingham)
2008-2009 Two Semi-Finals (FFS, we could have beaten Chelsea if Arshavin was playing from the beginning)

Hope my memory is right :banghead: :banghead:

Swale you tell people to grow up but the basis of your adult arguement is the threat that we might get Allardyce and Barton if Wenger was to go?

Why not make your arguement stronger and add more fanciful notions such as Gary Glitter being put in charge of the youth team and Dr Harold Shipman taking over all medical affairs at the club?

They are just as likely to happen as your threats of Fat Sam and Barton arriving!

Same old people saying the same old things. Knee jerk reaction! Really! In the last five years how has Wenger improved the playing staff and team results? Why has fourth become acceptable and seen as success?

They are not knee jerk comments but ones that are based on the facts. The counter arguement is that some of you are blinkered by the bullshit Arsene throws infront of you. You cannot see further than Arsene Wenger. Arsenal is Arsene Wenger. No it fucking isn't!

Maybe we should change our club motto? Bin Victory through Harmony and replace it with Fourth through Harmony as it is more appropriate.

Some of use have the balls to encourage change in the hope the stagnation we find ourselves in ends. It is easy to trot out the "give him one more season" line as it is non-commital and avoids adressing the real issues.

Where will one more year of Wengerks current philosophy get us? It worked reallyt well for the last five hasn't it!

Saying Wenger is a *word censored* after last night, is quite clearly knee jerk!

and ive seen more than one post on here in the past suggesting we buy Steven Taylor or Barton! how ridiculous!

by saying we will get Allardyce, im asking, who will we get? who is available thats better than Wenger?!

Do you not understand that this is a work in progress? most of the current squad are about 21 or a bit older, if this team stay together then they will all reach their prime together, thats the thinking behind this, scrapping half the team and sacking the manager now would be totally pointless!

A positive slant on last night: We are one of the top four teams in Europe and thats without Arshavin who we have all seen makes a massive difference to the team. We have also been without many of our best players this season through injury. Saying that we still need a good centre forward and a great centre half if not two. Personally i would get rid of Ade and i might even get rid of van simply because of constant injury. Sell them both and get Villa. Then go and buy Hangeland and another. Get rid of Sylvestre and Senderos. Then possibly buy a good holding midfielder even though we will probably only need them a couple of times a season as most teams dont want to play football against us. Then stop messing with the set up when it comes to big games unless we have too. Roll on next season and lets finish by beating Chelsea and the dirty reds in their back yard. It would be nice to shut them up the_Xtremist aside.

Its been a work in progress for 5 yearsand every season it get's worse not better. When you are stuck in a hole stop digging. Anyway I don't think this team will stick together. I expect 5 or 6 to go in the next few months. Unfortunately including Cesc.

That's just making excuses!

How long does it remain a work in progress? One more year, two maybe five more years? What age do they have to be to be considered the real deal?

Every team is a work in progress otherwise ot would cease to exist when players were forced to retire. The real skill is maitaining the success of past days while adding and removing various components to make the side as good if not better.

That clearly has not happened for five years now. Our last succes was stealing an FA win when we had taken a thumping of the magnitude seen twice in the last week or so from Man Yoo!

By definition to be a work in progress there has to be progress! From Invincibles to fourth, some progress that is.

From Viera to Song, from Pires to Walcott and from Henry to Adebayor. If that's what you call progress mate then good luck to you.

Please don't drum out the old "who would take over from him" line like Wenger is the only decent manager around. There are plenty of other contenders out there and also plenty of other unknowns or unprovens, just like Wenger was, who may bring some magic back to the club.

Or are you suggesting we wait until Wenger dies and then jack the club in as Arsene is the be all and end all?

We don't need to sack Arsene.

What we need is for Arsene to stop being so bloody stubborn and realise that so many of our players are either not good enough or don't care enough.

We did our bit last night by creating a brilliant atmosphere but the team were totally outclassed. I'm sick of this tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow that we're always being promised and "if this squad stay together".

Flamini was at the match last night - he didn't hang around did he??
