For sure, I will vote for Arshavin!

What did Cesc do for us this season? Don't you feel that he is the same as he was. To be fair, he should never play behind the striker. But his contributions to the team this season was just ok. He was below his par before he received the captaincy. He played only few good games since then. I understand that he made few assists and scored two goals after the injury. But still he is far behind from last season.

Arshavin, without a doubt.

He is the one highlight in a cowpat of a season, and I can't wait to see him in the last 3 games of this season, provided of course, that AW actually picks him.

It's a no brainer.

AA is a shining light amongst amongst a pretty dull bunch and that includes Cesc this season.

I have a feeling that AA is going to be unpopular with his fellow stars because he is showing them up to be pampered primadonnas, lazy, overpaid and average.

AA is a legend in the making and that's going to rankle with RvP, Ade and Cesc. The fans are going to love him for his skill, creativity, honesty and endeavour.

cesc has been a major disappointment this season, both before and after his injury he has not performed often lacked effort drifted in and out of games!

Doesnt it tell you something when a player who has played 10 games for the club is player of the season????

All of you work in progress merchants think long and hard about that one

Cesc was awesome for Spain in last years European Championships. Arshavin was class for the Russians too. But only one of them has carried that form into their club sides......the Russian magician.

Agreed, I think he's had a very ordinary season either side of his injury. That said he's not helped by the quality of player alongside him which has been consistently poor all season.

WE WONT MISS CESC IF HE LEFT!........WHY?
Because when he was out for that long-ish injury,Did we lose a game?

Agreed.

Assuming we realise full-value for Cesc, let's say 40M for example, then we would be a considerably better side with that money invested in two top class players, one at centre-mid and one at centre-back.

imo Arsene has been trying too much to get the "RIGHT" player to play with cesc,to the detriment of "THE TEAM".
Arteta would be THE PERFECT replacement

Shava by a mile. And for all their faults you can add Gallas, Nasri, RVP & even Almunia to that too. They’ve all made bigger contributions than Fabregas this season.

Cesc has been shite for 99% of this season, before & after his injury. I cant actually think of 1 single game where he’s really been outstanding. Even against Boro his 2 goals put a bit of gloss on what was a good performance at best, & against a shite side that didn’t turn up. Maybe against United in the league but that would be about it.

And the mitigating circumstances - namely Denilson & friends - only go so far. They still don’t excuse just how poor some of his passing has been, or his complete anonymity & lack of effort in too many games.

What cant be doubted though is he is a quality player! And we cant afford to lose the one or 2 genuine quality players we have so unless we're offered stupid money & plan to invest ALL of it on new top-class players then anyone thinking losing him would be no biggie is a little bit doolally in my book.

Cesc played the semi-final.

Arshavin didn't.

Think of the potential difference AA might have made had he simply been on the pitch, and you have your answer.
