Barry is out of contract?? are you sure? :? - nah, that wouldn't make any sense. Why would Villa fight to keep him last summer if he could walk for nothing now? think you're wrong, mate.

but they said last summer, he only had a year left and they were prepared to gamble on him leaving for free by getting champions league football for next season. he hasnt signed a new contract since, so he will be free

then why were villa fighting like they were to keep him and gamble on getting top 4, if not lose him for free, thats what i read anyway. ah well we'll have to stick to alonso or veloso, not bad replacements, probably even better lol.

We need a real battler in midfield, with that typical English grit & steel, to kick a few teammates up the arse when needed, available cheap or on a free.

There is only one answer my friends;

Get Joey Barton in NOW!

To add a bit of controversy I'd say get rid of RVP. He is a striker who has never shown an ability to make a partnership with anyone (fair enough Adebayor is the only major chance he's had) so 4-4-2 is a problem.

As a half striker he should be competing with the Arsh who is a much better player than him.

So is it better to keep him as a back up for that role or get £10m or more which can go towards getting a striker intelligent enough to link up with our three creative players in Arshavin, Nasri and Fabregas.

We need three first team players (and ideally some cover as well). A centre back, a central midfielder and a striker. We are missing a spine. That is why we are close and yet a million miles away. Correct that and despite getting spanked yesterday we can win something big next year.

Alonso 16mil
Barry Free
Huntelaar or another big quality striker 15mil

make a 5mil profit :barscarf:
Chiellini 12mil and Sakho 8mil  you are joking right.
Firstly Sakho just signed a new contract and is regarded as one of the best up and coming CB, need i remind you about the amount spent on quality players from france e.g Nasri, Essien, Drogba e.t.c.

Chiellini is an Italian international and plays for JUVE, I find it hard to believe that they will sell him for £12mill. and why will Huntelaar want to live after 1year.

Believe me if we are to sign any of those lot they will cost alot more

I dont think we should buy huntelaar. He is lazy, slow and cant pass. The premier league wouldnt suit him.
I think we should get rid of bendtner. APARENTLY Flamoney wants to rejoin, if so I would welcome him back as we need him so much. I think there arent any realistic transfer targets better than our current strikers.
We need a new centre back to partner toure, I think toure is better than gallas and old willy is getting on abit, a good backup but not starting. Once again no realistic transfer CB come into mind. Sakho is too young IMO, we have enough youngsters, I have my doubts about hangaland and just NO to steven taylor :banghead: Maybe phil jagielka or micah richards.

why not, he is a good player and a goal threat. I would prefer jagielka but thats only because I like his style of play. Would be great to see more english players aswel.
