Support the team on full throttle and we will do it

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Quite right - so if you are going

MAKE A NOISE
MAKE A LOT OF NOISE
MAKE OTHERS MAKE A LOT OF NOISE
THEN MAKE SOME MORE NOISE
THEN MAKE A WHOLE LOAD MORE NOISE

Repeat until we're on our way to Rome

Well said.

I am not going to the match, I rarely do these days for one reason or another, but I will be screaming at the telly.

So, all gooners that are going, be a crowd that gives us a goal head start -that could make all the diffrence.

i've taken so much propoganda these past 3 seasons and all we can muster in a semi final that we need to win is a fucking useless header on 29 minutes after being two down.

Last night proves once and for all that if the players aren't good enough or simply can't be bothered, it doesn't matter how much atmosphere the supporters generate.

I sang myself stupid last night (and waved my little flag) but did Adebayor and his lazy arsed mates respond?? Listening to those Manc wankers singing "oh this is so fucking easy" was about as bad as I can remember.

And before some old scrote says "you don't remember McGoldrick and Helder or Hawley and Hankin - I do remember watching and cheering them week in, week out. Those 4 players probably earned less between them in a year than Adebayor and co earn in a week!!

In 2 CL semi finals, our supporters were up for it but our "superstars" produced nothing. I hope that Arsene is kicking a few arses this morning.

formerly row29 you are all that is wrong with this clubs supporters at the moment...

consider this point I saw earlier:

The difference between success and failure is miniscule...the width of a post, a deflection, a slip. Actually note those last two. In the first 8 minutes a Fabregas shot was deflected, stranding Van Der Sar, but it went wide. Two minutes later a player slipped in the other penalty area and bang...goal. The deflection could easily have gone in, the slip could easily not have happened. Consequence? Arsenal 1-0 up, the tie level overall and the crowd up for it and 80 more minutes with home advantage...and possibly (not definitely) a different outcome.

Goals change games but luck often plays a part. United were lifted by the early away goal and their confidence soared...but it could really have been different. I wonder if anyone will be honest enough to actually acknowledge this?

D Green - I appreciate your mature debate and take on board your comments and appreciate and respect your views

I recorded the first effort on target and that was by Fabregas on 29 mins

The difference between failure and success is dismantling an undefeated team within a year and replacing them largely with useless pish that do not care for the club nor ever will.
Once upon a time I played for Pat Rice - Unlike Arsehole wanker the club stuck to a philosophy of defence, discipline, teamwork & work ethic. With the influence of GG given the procedures
Nowdays it seems thats its a free for all with no strategy for set pieces defencively or offensively, a pure I'm playing well attitude and fuck the rest of you.
Did you ever see Wenger try and coach last night? Try and change tactics? Move players around? NO! he sulked on his cushy throne and held his lil ol hands in his head and felt very sorry for himself.

George Graham went stale.........FACT!!!!! AW????

Tin little prick??

Once your Mum has woken you from another session of banging one out and you find yourself on this forum talking 'adult' things prior to banging another one out to a sad little free porn site. Bare in mind the little thing your holding is a true reflection of you.... A little prick

formerly row29 thanks for your reply.

I do agree with a lot of what you say and watching utd and then chavski last night does make me a bit jealous that we cant defend like that. I just think its harsh to give AW so much stick given what he has done for the club over the years.

I think we at the least owe him a chance to see if he can go out pre season and make the signings that sort this side out. A top drawer centre back is a must. Hopefully he has now realised you have to spend to get the best that this club and fans deserve. But this is the time to support the club and the manager. Afterall who is a better option out there other than AW?

Errr.... You don't "coach" once the game has started, that happens at the training ground...

Throwing tantrums isn't going to win us trophies. The guy who killed himself on Tuesday night hasn't achieved anything either. It isn't our job to decide who manages the team, who starts, who doesn't, it's our job to support the team that's put in front of us. Sometimes we'll lose games, change your nappy and get on with it.

Surely the manager should be visually trying to change tactics if a game plan isnt working though? This cant always wait until half time or the next match? He did not seem to be trying to communicate with the players at all from where I was sitting - call it what you like, he wasnt doing it!

What's he going to communicate? "Score a goal!".. "Don't let another one in!"...
