CHELSEA FAIL TO SELL OUT AGAIN LOL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It was very kind of Chelski to annouce the crowd changes to the players.

Even the Spuds supporters ain"t as fickle as the glory hunters from the Fulham road

USED TO GO CHELSEA A BIT IN THE EARLY TO MID EIGHTIES BECAUSE A MATE OF MINE - PAUL CANOVILLE - PLAYED FOR THEM AT THE TIME AND WOULD GET ME FREE TICKETS IN THE MAIN STAND WITH THE DIRECTORS AND FAMILIES/FRIENDS.

IN THOSE DAYS THEY WOULD REGULARLY GET CROWDS OF UNDER 20,000!! REMEMBER, THAT WAS AT A TIME WHEN TICKET PRICES WERE REALLY CHEAP IN COMPARISON TO TODAY!!

THE TRUTH IS THAT CHELSEA ARE A SMALL CLUB WITH NO HISTORY AND THEREFORE DON'T HAVE A PROPER FAN BASE. THEY ARE TRYING TO BUILD THAT UP VIA SUCCESS BOUGHT FOR THEM BY THEIR RICH OWNER. :x

BY THE WAY, DID YOU NOTICE HOW MANY FOREIGN 'TOURISTS' WERE IN THE CROWD - AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE ROSENBORG FANS!! THE REST OF THEIR 'FAN-BASE' MUST HAVE BEEN SIGHT-SEEING, SHOPPING, OR AT THE THEATRE/OPERA!!
