i hate gooners!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i can't even be bothered to give my reasons.

wheres the club i started supporting not that long ago?

i am proud of the team, the players and the manager.

Up the Arsenal!!!!
THEN FUCK OFF MUG

You ain't been around long enough to make that sort of comment.
well i've been supporting for twenty years. but if you look at the history of the club thats not long. before GG arrived we had to wait a long time for a trophy.

Now the fans have had too much Trophy Crack. desperatly ranting and raving for there next fix.

this gooner has some calm perspective on the matter.

Wenger isn't faultless, but he is our best chance for a trophy next season. he knows what went wrong this year, and he will try to fix it.

KEEP THE FAITH!!!

So what?

You not slightly preturbed by the boss saying pre-season we need to strengthen only then to go and decimate the squad?

Not even remotely concerned that's it's taken four years and counting to fix the problem?

Not bothered we have one of the highest wage-bills going, highest ticket-prices going but are constantly fed we have no money line?

Slightly worried that prior to Arshavin's signing the boss thought Eboue was our best right midfielder?

Not worried that a player not good enough for Utd's reserve side is deemed good enough for Arsenal?

Eye-brows don't raise a little with some of his team selections, a la Arshavin in the semi?

It is a fair point Gary.

We do not seem to learn by our mistakes. We have been far to lightweight for several seasons now and this has been obvious to all and sundry.

Problems at the back have been documented for quite some time but nothing has been done.

I think it is fair to say Wenger is very perceptive with the advantage of hindsight but has been found wanting when it comes to shutting the stable door before the horse has bolted.

Surely the whole point is, the fans that want Wenger to buy a bit of experience and quality aren't saying we should spend 100m, Let's spend say 15m each on a top CB and a top DM (which you could definitely get for that money) and see how we go. If we aren't significantly closer to United in the PL then fine, never spend another penny on the team and just use kids and I for one won't argue, but this team/squad needs strengthening and if Wenger's reasons not to do that are because he doesn't want to upset Diaby or Walcott then quite frankly he needs shooting! If there is NO money whatsoever, without breaking the team that he has up, then fine, tell us and a whole lot of fans will accept that (but that's not true anyway because Fiszman said live on Sky TV that he could spend 30m on one player if he wished).

I don't think you can say he decimated the squad, did he want Flamini to leave??? - no did he want Hleb to leave??? - no, and if you're honest Gilberto was coming to the end of his time!

4yrs and counting??? you do remember that we are up against the two richest clubs in the world that are spending so much money that no matter how much they earn they've still managed to accrue debts that are more than twice ours added to which ours is an asset based mortgage and our finances are positively glowing in comparison!

Ticket prices??? have you seen the Spuds or the Shammers prices and both those clubs regularly flirt with relegation, you seem to forget that London happens to be one of the dearest cities in the world, the cost of running the stadium and training ground, staff wages, rates must be astronomical!

Players like Silvestre are bargain bin buys purely due to a lack of money, and maybe AW shouldn't have persisted with Eboue so long but, I for one remember when he first arrived he was an absolute revelation at right back and I don't know what has happened since  but you know it's not because AW is incapable of being ruthless cos he can but he has possibly been too patient with Eboue but I'm sure he would've loved to have been able to bring Franc Ribery to the club if he had the near 50M to bring him!

As for his bizarre substitutions/selections if you remember Selsdon it's not too long ago that ManUre fans were callin for Fergie's head, saying that he was past it and he'd lost the plot, sound familiar??? and that is a FACT  but strangely not now eh??? would that be somethin to do with havin been given a blank cheque to buy whoever he wants vastly increasing his chances of winnin the title even tho they tried to do their best to throw it away by losing three games in a row at a crucial time of the season!

And it's the same thing as their American owners who could hardly turn up at the ground 3 yrs ago without a battalion of security guards but not now eh??? even though they are taking the club further into the mire purely for their own ends and will then do an 'Arry and jump ship without a single backward glance when it suits

The Glazers are not stupid, they realised very quickly that the football fan is a fickle creature and as long as they delivered trophies the vast majority (but tellingly, not all) of Mancs wouldn't care even tho the only possible way out will either be bankruptcy or a Billion pound buy-out by someone with an awful lot more money than they can afford :!:
