Not that i want to go on about the takeover but if the figures are as good as that up at the Grove at the moment do we really need the takeover? Someone said on another thread that the board can't take us any further, Why can't they, they got us this far?

too right...
We're well involved both on and off the pitch in the elite european clubs...We're far more successful than Chelsea, Liverpool havent even won a premiership title and the only thing Man U have won that we havent is the Champs League (and dont we know about it)..
How can anyone justify needing someone elses billions to "compete"..we didnt lose to any of these teams last season..We have a better stadium than all of them and have a higher annual turnover than all 3..

are you another one who believes that football only started in 1992,, lfc havnt even won the premiership

they hav 18 titles and 6 euro cups,, manu hav 9 titles in last 15years and chavs hav won 2 out of last 3, while we hav won fu&k all,, and simple maths ,, becase man u hav 15thou more in there stadium that we charge higher ticket prices, we havnt won a euro cup since cup winers cup which was 13 year ago,, where with the valencias,lazios of europe and not the barces milans madrids

not at all mate. I'm talking about in modern day football, in the day of takeovers, galactico's and billionaire's, we've more than held our own in the past 10 years, and have made great strides as a club, especially from 1992! We're regularly in the Champions League latter stages, and had the best record out of the top 4 head to heads last season. My point is we're not far away from the elites and we can get there as we are, without further investment which could potentially leave us in a worse position than we are now..
