well i think Sagna, Clichy, Cesc, Walcott, Arshavin, Nasri and Eduardo are good enough

and i'm 50/50 on RVP and Vela - just need a decent keeper, 3 good CD, and a DM

also our big problem is our quality players like Cesc and RVP are guareented first team football, they have no competition to keep them on there toes and keep there performances up - Cesc can have a dozen shit games and still will play

you can see that when he plays for Spain he has to compete with Xavi, Iniesta, Senna, David Silva, Alonso and isnt' guareented first team football

we lack quality competiton all over the pitch

I remember when we would have the likes of Edu, Ljungberg, Kanu, Wiltord all sitting on our bench and couldn't get a game, they would all walk into our team

Bloody right...........I'm not being funny but I fractured my spine when I worked for one of the biggest telecommunications company in England but although they took complete responsiblity they still tried to sack me for being off work for a year because that is law that you are not fit for work...so why do Arsenal still have players like Rosicky on their books??? I know he is not going to make the team but if we got rid of the fucker and buy someone useful then would we not have half a chance?????

i have hopes for Theo because he is only 20 and hopefully in 3 or 4 years he will be the finished article - he can also be a very good impact player from the bench the runs he set up against Liverpool was sublime and he is actually one player who can make things change - I don't know why Wenger doesn't try him out up front like an Anelka character. Let Cesc get the ball from the defence and hit a 60 yard ball over the top Walcott would out run Terry and Alex all day - the last two games he has played against the best left backs in the country in Evra and Cole

thats all well and good chunky but one player doesnt make a team.....theo is good but he needs back up...look at the Engalnd team......all fantastic players in their own right but can't nail it together....I love Theo but he can't make Arsenal, we need more than that!!!!! Arsene, the board, whoever need to realise that they hav
e to buy quality and experience and guys who are going to gel into the team...then maybe we can get back to how Arsenal were...

The Realists were right all along. No quality signings last summer and this is what you get.4th Place no better. And thats how it is going to stay as long as Wenger stays as manager. If he thinks Greedy Eboue Denilson RVP Song and Bendtner are good enough he truly has lost thr plot

Turn out the lights when you leave Arsene.

The campaign to get Rijkaard as our manager starts here

he might have the pace but any decent back line would just sit deep and let all the beautful slide-rule passes straight through to the keeper.

its no coincidence that the last time we won something was the last time paddy vieira kicked a ball in red a white, i want my arsenal back

we have players that have the board by the balls about pay etc that I absolutely do not agree with but when they see how other teams are run are they not just looking out for theirselves??? would we not do the same in the same situation??? if Arsenal were doing what they should then maybe there would be more of a pull to stay and trouble is what has happend the last few weeks much as our BIG players say about staying with Arsenal is all well and good but in the sport they are in they want to win like we all do and if they see,as it looks, that Arsenal don'r want that then why would they stay???? We want them to but they also want to win like we do but for them its about being top in their game and if means that they keep comng fourth or whatever or going to another team and winning then what do they do????

Arsenal need to after 4 years realise this!!!!!!!!

Have any of the moaners considered that maybe he doesn't think they are good enough? And what he says in public isn't necessarily what he thinks? If you were a manager would you air all your private thoughts to a hysterical media?

It takes time to get things right and there's no point slating them in public - their confidence is fragile enough as it is, you can see that whenever we concede a goal, we start playing shit and can't string two passes together.

In conclusion - 1 or 2 more years for the gaffer but here's hoping he makes big changes to the squad. It's not even the lack of trophies that gets me, it's the lack of guts, determination, pride, grit etc. All things that you can't buy anyway.

I don't remember people moaning like this when we were crap in the twilight of George Graham's reign. Carter, Hillier, Selley, McGoldrick et al were all awful, but I just don't recall the moaning and bitching like this - yes people were annoyed but not with this new arrogance that somehow we deserve trophies. If they don't like it that their new hobby isn't satisfying then they can feel free to do something else.

And it's this arrogance towards the best manager in our history that kills me. Where's our class gone? It's all "who are ya" and "Ashley's got AIDS". Very sad. Every year I feel like we become a bit less special, the way the fans are going.

I haven't read the whole thread but I do agree with CM's comments - many of the squad are just not good enough, and I include some big names in that - Fabregas and Van Persie I'm looking at you. I've seen Fabregas go downhill over the past two years and when I told my mates, they looked at me as if I was clueless. But now some people are starting to realize. Whether it's a problem in the head or not, he's not doing what we need him to do. Then again, some people still don't get it. People phoning up Radio 5 saying that he needs a strong player as some sort of chaperone. Bollocks. If Diaby has a shit game, he's shit. If Fabregas has a bad game, it's because the team somehow doesn't support him enough? Please.

Er, rant over.
