I think the goings on at Chelsea are a lesson to us gooners, with all the take-over talk etc.
I have read in various papers (maybe its just paper talk but who knows) that Shevchenko was bought without Jose' knowledge and with the way he has played Shev. i think thats probably true. Also Jose was the most succesful manager in Chelsea history and they sack him because the russian millionare has had enough of him. Do we want this at Arsenal? Do we want Ursamov or Kronke do the same to Mr Wenger? Of course we wouldnt. I must admit i wanted some money pumped into the club so we could compete with other clubs big signings but on the evidence of our performances this year and the Chelsea debacle maybe we are better off as we are.
What do you think?
Chelsea a foreign investment lesson

I don't even think that we'd have that particular problem if Asmanov did take over the club because we are already playing the sort of football that is arguably the best being played by any club side in the world right now, but most of all everyone knows AFC's greatest asset is AW and I'm sure DD has relayed that fact to his new "partner" but mainly cos unlike RA, Asmanov has no great love for football anyway and wouldn't know the difference between us and Wimbledon, make no mistake about it he's in it just for the money - end of............. and he has said quite clearly that we as a club are an undervalued asset - the reason I don't want him to take over the club is cos the whole idea stinks pure and simple!
Our board might not be the most popular people around but they make it all work fantastically well. I don't know what's going on behind the scences at the club but as far as I understand it...whenever Wenger has said he wants a player the board have made the money available to him. I really don't see the need for anymore investment now and any take over is just gonna interupt things. The worst thing that could happen now is that Asmanov & Dein starts casusing trouble.
