Ivan Gazidis answers questions from the Arsenal Supporters’

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ivan Gazidis answers questions from the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust

I think this is possibly the most informative article to appear for many a moon. Very many thanks for that Ian. Although it is still very early days it seems to me that in Ivan we possibly have the ideal CEO, and one who will become very much involved with the real wheeling and dealing of football politics at the highest level.

Will he have any real control over Wenger?
Does it seem as though that's what he'd want to do anyway?

One question for Ian - did Ivan suggest a time scale for the Clubs with an unsustainable business model to go tits up?

a BIG "Thank-You" Ian for taking the time and energy to share that - I watched the 2 interviews he (Gazidis) gave when he first arrived - And thought he was 'the right man for the job' - Especially with Arsenal's self-sustaining model.....which is the only way to go if we as a club are to have any kind of financially stable and successful (Trophies etc) future...as has already been pointed out endless times - manure and the chavs are not only up to their necks in Serious debt - but the Business Men that own them could walk away at any time or even use the clubs to reduce their own debts - and in the worldwide present financial climate - that could happen in the blink of an eye.....

I may not like the fact that we have gone without a trophy since 2005 - but I also remember the days before AW arrived......perhaps we have somehow all become too familiar and cosy with the amount of success he brought to the club in such a relatively short space of time, and have become expectant rather than trusting. I am hopeful of the Long Term Policy of the Club...it IS Painful - to see us finish outside the top 2 - 3 again...But I have Faith - And hope there are enough Gooners who also 'Keep The Faith'. Besides what esle would we do - go and watch the sp*ds!?? :banghead: Exactly!

 :? Thanks for an excellent piece which I have pasted to various Arsenal pals overseas. I rate Gazidis and think he can work well with the Prof, not rock the ship, guide essential changes well, manage the two new mega shareholders well. He clearly cares though seems to have dodged many key issues but that's fairy nuff at this point in his first year. I wait to see what happens before August... I'll always always be a keen positive supporter but at the same time care enough to want us to find a route to a trophy as well as rediscover our electric footie.

Dont be fooled by this piece of shit ,he is your typical person who smiles in your face while stabbing you in the back. (que OJ's)

People get all starry eyed when the Gods from the club come down from Highbury Hill and engage but the fact remains it was this arsehole that stirred it up for Wenger using the clowns from AISA and Arsenal shareholders at the AGM meeting.

He says absolutely nothing about football and talks endlessly about franchising and money-making.;
The AST could have learned as much from a newspaper than this man but boy do they love the attention.

All these groups AISA, AST are in it for themselves rubbing against the wankers who run the club and deluding themselves they are having a positive action for the rest of us peasants, and the club laugh at them and tell them tall stories that they lap up.

my personal favourite was the "German Beef Quality" excuse to why the price of a pie was so high which AISA swallowed and regurgitated to it's members.

When will people learn that the people who run this club are nothing more than a bunch of shysters milking millions off the club in shady back door ways (Catering,Property Management scams, back handers from agents etc and that AST and AISA are clueless self important *word censored* !

Did anyone ask the question " Is the 250 million pound loan loan we had been told was wrapped at 6 % in Pounds or dollars ???? "
I think it's in Dollars but I can't find out 4 sure.
If it is then we are royally fucked for as we all know since the deal the pound has crashed.

I miss Highbury sooooooooooomuch

end rant :banghead:
