Armand staying / Big Phil going
He also came in for a lot of stick, when Campbell was as much to blame, this was early in his career and it coincided with the time when campbell was on the slide. So he wasn't getting the kind of guidance and re-assrance he needed, this seem to generate a lack of confidence which stayed with him, and I don't think he ever recovered.

"The Swiss defender’s chances at the San Siro were intitally hampered by injury and he did not appear for the Rossoneri until December. Thereafter, Senderos has been almost ever-present in central defence during Milan’s Serie A title challenge."franksav63 wrote:100,000-1, he was hardly a star for Milan, was he? Armand Traore though? At least it's a bit more cover at left back I suppose.
Takes a bit of pressure off young Gibbs who will definitely be a star of the future

In defence of senderos he is usually quality for switzerland and up until he knacked his shoulder he was excellent in the last world cup and scored, switzerland hardly conceded a goal.
plus he was in our 05/06 champions league run when we didnt concede a goal in 10 games, in fact he was replaced by sol campbell for the final.
Still he did make some untimely errors, this is down to nerves i suspect more than anything else.
