United away in the Premier League

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

MOTD highlights nicely edited to hide how well be played !

The performance does give us hope for the future, obviously a few faces need added, but we all know where so I can't be bothered to go over old ground.

Always typical off BBC.............they are worried about complaints from Hardcore Utd fans in the home counties!

We gave a good, solid performance with lots of possession and we restored a bit of pride.

But, where was that performance two weeks ago? When the pressure was on us, we crumbled against Chelsea and United.

Typical, when we have nothing at stake we turn in a decent performance. MOTM for me was RVP; he was up front alone, being battered from pillar to post by Vidic & Evans but he never stopped trying.

Hope Mike Dean cherishes his Prem medal, he was a fucking disgrace as per usual; booking our players for fuck all and buying ALL of Ladyboy's dives.

That twat with the rattle; obviously Care In The Community is not working.

And as for another United title, I guess they're still dancing in the streets of Surrey, Dublin and fucking Pyongyang.

There are times when reading threads that i get very annoyed. Why do posters keep harping on about Manu fans from Surrey and other Countries as if they are the only team that has fans Worldwide.

On this forum alone,at least a third of us are not from North London, but we are still Gooners.

I can walk around Cork anytime and see Kids in their Arsenal, Chelsea even West Ham shirts. Cork airport on a Sat morning when we are at home will have about 50 Gooners going over for the game. This is repeated in every airport in Ireland.

Knock Manu all you want, but remember their fans are people just like me and you, except for the fact that they are misguided and should be pitied more than pilloried

Thats fair enough corkbarry but I think it is different when you are living in a different country and different rules apply. I do agree 100% that london people should support london clubs end of story and if it aint Arsenal then so be it cos at least they will be respected for supporting "local" clubs 8) At the end of the day the london born and reared manc fans are only following the glory and nothing they say will convince me otherwise

Thought we played well, were the better team throughout and could/should have tried harder to win it instead of being content with the draw. But maybe I'm being a bit greedy and not losing today was a moral victory for the players.

The United fans were shite! Anyone who thinks that the Grove has too many Corporates should try a day out at OT. Before the game it was all thanking this one who was visiting from canada and someone else who was over from Hong Kong for their first match. They were so quiet that it wasn't difficult to outsing them even though I thought our away support was a little more subdued than normal. Great though to be able to sing can we sing a song for you to supporters who are on the verge of 4 trophies.....

If only though someone could have got to the ugly fat bloke with the clacker thingy.....!!
Totally agree with everything you said on your post.. including the fat *word censored* with the rattle, hope he gets severe RSI in his wrist...
and would like to include that Mike Dean should have had a Manure shirt on, (cheating *word censored*)

How did you get home so quick? You obviously didn't go by car did you?

I take your point Barry, and I have no real problem with manure's foreign fans if they are genuine fans that travel to games and know their history etc and not just glory hunters. But most manure fans (not all - but most) in Ireland have never been to old shatford but will turn up on a Monday morning in work mouthing off... these are wankers.

I would include London manure fans in that. There may indeed be some genuine London manure fans that follow them because of family history or whatever but most are glory hunters.

To genuine football fans the last reason you follow a team is because they are successful. You follow a team because your dad got you into them, or they are your local team or because your family has traditionally followed them or as a kid you fell in love with the badge or the jersey or were inspired by the players that gave their all and fought tooth and nail for the team. Any of these reasons are legit to me. But to suddenly start following a currently successful team from another city just to be bertie big bollocks on a Monday morning is the lowest form of fan. End of.

We're only about 20 mins away from J15 of the M1. It took about 3 hours from home to get parked up. Decided to go for one of the official car parks as they weren't any more expensive than the backstreet jobs. But only took 2 hours 20 min to get home. We followed the satnav to the letter - in spite of seemingly taking us in a different direction to everyone else (at one stage I think we were heading towards Liverpool).

Funny thing was that we had the flag in the back and scarves out the window, whereas most of the mancs were low key. The atmosphere is the ground was shite - and I didn't think improved that much at the final whistle. My youngest son made the point of how cheesy everything was i.e. well known songs adapted to include, variously, Italy, United etc etc. He had a point. Everything was so orchestrated. If this is what happens with non-stop success then they can keep it (and probably will)!

Agreed mate! Mancs on the train didn't sing a note so we sang loads of songs for them! We left OT on final whistle and got metro to station. 20 mins later, swarms of southern mancs packed out our train in sombre mood, no singing into the station, no singing on the train..............

They seem to be very orchestrated..............just like the Emirates i am afraid but I will always be a rebel when I can!

Oh, I should have spotted your location.....

That que sera sera Italian song they played at half time was embarrassing and had references in it, on how they beat us in the semi-final, should never have been played IMO, a good way to incite trouble if our fans were of that mindset.

I reiterate again, the Manc fans were embarrassing also.
