Got it booked to see on the Imax screen at Waterloo. Should be awesome. 12th I'm a bit of a Trekkie too but never went to a convention. :o I've read a fair bit about it and apparently they have done a lot to make it consistent with the various series and films.

I may go and see it, not too fussed either way. As for Star Trek, I only really loved The Next Generation, I guess because the Englishman at the head of it just seemed to bring class to the whole programme.

Im a huge Star Wars fan, never even watched a single episode of Star Trek (even though I knew the gist of the show). But the Star Trek movie was outstanding. Great acting, great effects, good plot. I knew it would be good just because JJ Abrams was directing it. He created Lost, greatest show ever.
