Lets stop booing adebayor
Okay, I understand the fustration that some arsenal fans may be feeling after adebayors interview with football focus, however, I generally believe that adebayor is irreplacable for a number of reasons: our new kind of wing play involving full backs heavily allows crosses, and not many strikers who would like to leave their clubs are good in the air, or as quick or as stong as adebayor, some of you may say huntelaar, but no, he is slow, and will slow down our play, as well as not being as strong as adebayor. If adebayor goes, then arsenal are messed, there will be no-one we could buy to bring what adebayor bought and more. Last season, all the fans were behind adebayor, and in return he got us 30+ goals, eventhough he held the club ransome, he is still an arsenal player, and we need to respect that, ronaldo held united at ransome, but look how they moved on, ronaldo goes on to score 18 + goals and hes been playing half a season. What im basically trying to say is, we need to sing songs for adebayor and not boo, because im not sure how many us know how it is like to score a goal for the team you love but still hear 20,000 odd people that support the team you love but still boo you, it can demotivate any person in the world, not just a footballer. Additionally, he did complain about having to play against top defenders more than a few times, and to be honest, playing against the best centre halves in the world more than 2 times can be excesively difficult, as i do not know many strikers who can beat vidic, ferdinand, john terry, carvalho, apart from them making mistakes and being punished notably by torres, so the midfield needs to be strengthened and 4-4-2 needs to be played against all teams. People can say that ohh we can bring in villa or tevez, but no, villa is clinical but our full backs will be useless and villa isnt strong or good in the air, and tevez is not prolific enough to score goals. We actually need adebayor!

Welcome to the forum, Steve
. Always good to see new members.
Don't agree with your pro-Adebayor argument.
Leaving aside the fact that he has alienated himself from Gooners through his unforgivable behaviour and lack of effort, he is very far from being indispensible. Any decent tall striker could match his performance. Especially one with a rudimentary understanding of the offside law.
I do agree that he should not be on the receiving end of boos, or nasty songs.
I would prefer it if our fans totally ignored him.
I hope he leaves during the summer. His wages would be better spent on players who actually DO give a shit.

total tosh! Sorry mate but it is.
you have to earn respect - Greedybayor would have got it after that first season if he hadn't demanded such a wage rise and talked about going to Madrid/Milan/Sporting Togo or whoever because he was a s good as Henry!
Greedybayor puts in less than 100% almost every game - undoubtedly
Quick? He is constantly offside, that slows us down quite a bit!!
Our 'wing backs' could well be the worst crossers of a ball in the Premier League, Sagna in particular seems to be able to put a ball anywhere but where it should be, he is appalling at crossing!
I'll give you a couple of (cheaper) alternatives:
Roque Santa Cruz
Edin Dzeko (my preferred choice)

Welcome to the forum Steve.
I personally think that Adebayor has got off lightly this season, considering the 'performances' he has put in for our great club this season.
I think the majority of fans would have forgiven his blantant whoring himself around the clubs of europe last summer if he had put in the same performances as he did last season.
I know that you can't play well every game but at least put some effort in, which he has lacked for the majority of the season. He complains about being the lone striker in a 4-5-1, but didn't he come into his own in this said formation when he scored the winner a few seasons ago at Old Trafford, when their players said that Ade was the best player they had played against that season. The difference between then and now is down to graft which appears to be a dirty name to him now.
The problem with him is that he thinks he is the same as Henry, and will never be as long as he has a hole in his arse and the sooner he is despatched from our club, the better.

Wouldnt read the article myself either - just the heading is enough for me
Another example of "lets pretend everything is rosy in the garden and sweep all our troubles under the carpet"
I am sorry if you think that is harsh mate but seriously it is a shocking suggestion that I think you will get minimual support for
Welcome by the way

Booing him is totally pointless................throwing things at him however will be far more effective!

Welcome mate but..................
you are having a laugh,
for me he has entered the Harry Redknapp arena by the way in which he does all his business in the media, you know when Harry wants to buy a player cus he says it out loud to the tv cameras . same for Ade im affraid, perhaps if he showed our club the dignity and respect it deserves we wouldnt be on his case. To slag of our fans on football focus and do his contract negotiations as he did via sky sports last summer are just two of his large mistakes. Maybe he would get the respect and adulation he craves if he was put in a shift on the pitch and show us all that he cares about out great club.
Not fit enough to wear the shirt IMO.
Time for him to Foxtrot Oscar
