MARCH FOR LE BOSS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

MARCH FOR LE BOSS

Post by REB »

so there was a march in support of wenger before the stoke game.
plenty of support also in the ground during the game and the author of this piece makes some good points in that the support of the manager might make the current board think all is rosie in the gooner garden when it really isn't, so was the march a good thing in your eyes and anyone on here go on the march from the rocket to the ground :?:

WENGER AND THE BOARD

Post by Herd »

:barscarf: As much as we hope things will improve NOTHING will change untill the club is sold to Kronke or the Russian fella.
Fizeman has never been into football and isnt a fan, just an investor who wishes to get the maximum return on his investment.

Hillwood is a buffoon that sold his inheritence for a pittance so whoever takes over do it soon and get on with equiping Wenger with the resources to d what has to be done.

The board unfortuntely think the likes of the supporters trust and aisa represent the fans and alledgedly managed to get them to have a pop at wenger during the supporters meeting, something i find rather sinister.

One things for sure whilst I wasnt a Dein fan I think he had our interests at heart far more than the cuntz who currently sit on the board.

Wenger has made some errors but remains the man for all seasons

Please specify which of the current board you'd describe as "cuntz". You realise that Kroenke is one of the board members? And the fact that you say "Fizeman has never been into football and isnt a fan, just an investor who wishes to get the maximum return on his investment" then call for Usmanov to take over is just laughable

I'm sure that Arsene and the board are aware that most fans aren't happy paying top dollar prices for just 4th place after all the negativity throughout the season - 1 day of expressing thanks for what we do have doesn't erase all that.

Is there anyone out there who actually realises what the state of our finances is? Moyes has just won Manager of the Year for achieving what he has "within tight financial constraints" .......Everton's net spend on transfers since 2004 has been £3.5m HIGHER than Arsenal's. Are Everton's achievements since then or even just this season even comparable to ours???? Unbelievable!

Take a look at the youth team's recent success. Wenger is building an empire before our very (blinkered) eyes.

Perhaps my sources are flawed! This is where I got it from: http://www.transferleague.co.uk/

We did spend a lot in 04 you're right. Mainly on Reyes. On the bright side we also got Clichy for £250k.

Hatemanu99, I agree that Wenger has worked wonders with his constraints but they were largley self imposed, I do believe that there are better players out there for the wages we pay. We have gone backwards as a team since 2004.

Yeah can't argue with the wages point. I think he tries to create some loyalty by paying lesser players above market rates. But difficult to keep players loyal when we're not winning anything, and those lesser players then become superstars and we can't afford to pay them any more. So not sure of his logic.

Don't think his budget has been self-imposed though, particularly since 04 which is around about when we would have started planning/building the Emirates.

Christ knows the area could do with a few! Maybe planting one in the middle of our defence might improve its resilience...

Didn't we have one this season called Mikael. Trouble with trees is that they don't move that quickly. I'd prefer the Mourinho-style bus.

the thing is flash redaction seem to thing they represent all the supporters and that they are the only true gooners  and people will feel that everything is ok and no one will ever question the manager no matter where we finish in the league or go another 5 years without a trophy because they are been interviewed on tv and quotes in the papers,

all is well at the emirates
