Baptista - a mystery

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Baptista - a mystery

Post by 26may1989 »

Is this really the same Julio Baptista we saw lumbering round the pitch last year, failing at almost every turn? From last night's battle of Reals, Madrid v Betis.

Struggled for fitness in first half of the season, had second half to adapt to it and was constantly played out of position, no surprise he failed.

Well...his goalscoringscoring wasn't really the problem. His stats were quite good, he just couldn't handle the pace we want to play at.
