JG and Red Renewals

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Expensive month for me. Had to renew the season ticket, along with one Red membership and one Silver membership. Soon adds up :(
I dont' think thats right.

Mine this morning stated next to where i used to say current, expired and an option box to renew.

The list you are referring to is for NEW memberships and no renewal.
This is correct. The list at the bottom of the page with the drop down menus is for NEW memberships not renewing current ones. I just bothered to read the small print properly;

"IF YOU HELD A MEMBERSHIP FOR SEASON 2008/2009 YOU MUST RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP ABOVE TO AVOID LOSING ANY WAITING LIST POSITIONS, PURCHASING A NEW MEMBERSHIP WILL GIVE YOU A NEW POSITION."
i think it works, i did my purchase earlier and it now says:

RED FULL 30/04/2010 £30.00 Current

i'm a bit lost -

when i click on 'manage memberships' i get one box called 'Currently Held Memberships' which it seems is allowing me to purchase (or renew, i'm not sure) a new red membership, and one box called 'Expired Memberships' witch says 'You do not have any expired memberships that are available for renewal'. does this mean i have to wait for my red membership to expire first?

Yes, there is a list at the bottom, entitled 'New Memberships'. Above this, you should see 'Currently Held Memberships', it states...
This is a list of your existing valid memberships and those that are expiring, which are eligible for you to renew:
That's the list I was talking about, renew from there.

is that a NEW red membership expiring in 2010 though? Do you have a new membership number? or the same one?

For me, the box in the middle of the page says that I have no expired memberships available for renewal so i'm guessing I just gotta wait for a bit, especially as mine is meant to be settled by DD.

You'd think they could send out some kinda e-mail clarification wouldn't ya?!

i just tried to renew and got some "there has been a technical difficulty" bull shit. so i rang the box office and they said (after being on hold for about 20 minutes) that that happened because they are not renewing red memberships until july as they are still dealing with season tickets...

I set up my JG renewals with a direct debit last year, but when I log on it asks me to input more direct debit details......

I'm confused - will it do it automatically or not? :?

Here's things as I understand them. I'm a Red so it may be slightly different for Silvers/JGs - a little clarification from the club wouldn't go amiss to stop people paying for the wrong thing etc.

*************************************************************

Log in to the tickethub and click "Manage memberships" near the top of the page next to your "Client number". A new page will appear detailing your membership status.

The box near the top of the page "Currently held memberships" should show you what memberships you hold & their status. Along with a "due date".
Below that is a box entitled "Expired Memberships". I believe your expired 08/09 membership should appear in this box with an option to renew it UNLESS you are paying by direct debit in which case there should be text in there saying "You do not have any expired memberships for renewal". I assume those of us like myself who are paying by DD can not renew manually online as it will be done automatically when the club take the money from our accounts. Some people have stated that on checking the DD details with their bank there is a payment scheduled to be taken on June 2nd. Some clarification on this from Arsenal would be nice.

Further down the page is another larger box entitled "New Memberships" with several membership options & drop down menus. This is for buying new memberships, not renewing existing ones. Purchasing a new membership from this area will mean you lose your position in any waiting lists you are on & go to the back of the queue. Be careful what you buy from here.

*************************************************************

That is how I interpret the process. Of course I may be wrong and it may be slightly different for Silvers/JGs but certainly the club could help matters by sending out some kind of clarification.
Those of us with DDs set up should, I expect, hear from the club in the next few days with details of when our money will be taken from our accounts.

Thanks Dan.

Mine says : This is a list of your existing valid memberships and those that are expiring, which are eligible for you to renew.

My dates are 12/6, but there was also a little box alongside that I could click in saying status.

When I do this it tells me to add it to my basket, changes the date to 2010, and then asks for my ddm details!

I cant face ringing them but I guess I'm gonna have to.....

Hmmm... I also have the 12/06 date which I think is the deadline for renewals, but no sign of a clickable box next to the status :?

I'm gonna see if anything is taken from my account on the 2nd, like some others have said, and if nothing is taken or I don't hear anything else I'll give them a ring a few days before the deadline of the 12th.

They're certainly not making it easy though are they, normally the club can't wait to get our money off us

It looks as though the club has now processed the Direct Debit renewals.
My membership status has changed to "RED - FULL DIRECT DEBIT" with a due date of 30/04/2010 :barscarf:

What in the name of fuckery is going on here?

Mine says the same, only issue being, the £40 is still in my bank account. What is this, a free membership from Arsenal? :banghead:

At last, an e-mail from the club.

It seems they will be taking a DD from my bank on or around 25th June for £18.

So that's the JG renewal but not word on the Red Membership.

Anyone else?
