As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Can't say I'm going to enjoy it, but it is the cup final so will feel obliged to watch it. Apparently Setanta is on free to air in the UK this weekend so may watch it on that and see what all the fuss is about. Steve Mcmanaman and Tim Sherwood as pundits? Can't wait, bring it on!

I wouldn't bother. They're a pair of Cnuts and the coverage is crap
I think my overpowering sarcasm has caught you out there Brazilliant
I'll be sticking to ITV with super Teddy Sheringham and Andy Townsend, minus his tactics bus.
I'm watching it too olgit and saha's goal was a cracker - strange thing though is that it seemed to un-nerve everton more than it did the chavs ITV are highlighting hibbert as getting a skinning (which he is) but he is getting zero protection from osman in front of him and he would be the 1st man i'd sub.
I rate the guy as a player but how the fcuk did essien escape without a booking for that tackle on sideshow bob (fellani) ? He want to fcuking do him big time and even beglin said there was intent
Been out for the day so avoided it (although will probably peek at the "highlights" to see Evertons goal).
Had to listen to 606 on the way home, Cashley, Lumpard and Lucy all out on the pitch afterwards drinking beer, then Lucy out playing football with his kids.
Heard they only got 25000 each allocation, all the rest went to the corporate nobodies, some people even paid £750 for today.......
charliegeorgewhocanhitem wrote:Unbelievable how far the FA cup final has dropped in popularity over the years. It really was a massive national occaision when I first started watching them in the late 60s. I'd go down the town about 7am and buy the programme from the newsagents, (yes, yer local newsagent would sell the FA cup final programme) then wait for the start of Grandstand/World Of Sport about 9am and watch 6 hours of build up to the match while getting more and more excited no matter who the final was between. The first one I have any real memory of is the Chelsea v Leeds final in 1970 which was a classic game, can't remember who I wanted to win but it did'nt matter, it seemed like the most exciting occaision possible and fortunately we were back a year later so all the excitement was more than doubled
This year? I'll probably be in a boozer somewhere so will look at the screen every now and then in the hope that Everton score, if the wee Fulham club are winning my interest will be minimal to say the least. How times have changed
I remember that too Charlie, getting the F.A. cup programme from the local sweet shop... Wonder when they stopped doing that?
Must have been back in the late 70s when that was stopped Frank. Given that making money is all nowadays it's surprising it is'nt done in these modern times I'd only buy it now if we were in it but certainly not at the game, who wants to cart a thing the size of the Oxford English dictionary that costs £10 about all day at Wembley, I'd much rather get it from my local newsagent.
