Lions Tour 2009

Post by rodders999 »

I'm a bit partial to a bit of egg chasing to be honest and I'm really looking forward to the Lions tour of South Africa which kicks off at 2pm today.

The Lions will be massive underdogs heading into the test matches in a few weeks but I've a sneaky feeling they might pull off a series victory especially after the disappointment of the last tour down in New Zealand.

Anyway here's hoping to some great matches and best wishes to all the Munster and Irish lads on the team!! :barscarf:

Slightly extreme there Pal don't ya think. That must mean you hate me so.

Anyway the Lions managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat (thanks to a couple of tries along the way from the Irish boys Bowe and O Gara) but they'll have to improve 1000% before Wednesdays game against much tougher opposition!

Lions Lions Lions!!!!

I'm interested in the tour too. Really hope they can beat the Springboks. Although I think they would be much more successful if they were just the Irish Lions.

Hopefully I'll be seeing the Barbarians play the Wallabies next weekend too.

Solid win for the Lions this morning. I didn't get up to watch it, but hopefully I can catch a replay in the next few days.

Oh, and I got tickets to the Barbarians game this weekend. Geordan Murphy is in the team, but sadly no Gordon D'Arcy.
