Red > Silver Membership .... and New Season Tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Don't forget that there is a recession on at the moment. not all that don't renew are not doing so because of the team.

So if 14,166 people don't renew I'm in!!! :barscarf:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if 14,166 people all jacked in their ST's this year, you still wouldnt have one...

You would be number 1 in line for next year though! lol

If you can`t afford a ST, how are you going to afford a macbook? :?

im something ridiculous like 59,074 on the waiting list

meaning all current ST holders plus another like 20,000 have to give it up before i get one!

see you guys in 2050!

Cant see what all the fuss is about. If not a silver member then red & t/ex would get you in to most games( apart from a wembley cup semi or final, & C.L final- fat chance of that though)
Dont take no shit from anyone- & show them who really holds the cards!

Arsene only knows - thanks to all the panderers. If no one renewed but went adhoc I can assure you all that they would listen to us then- & we may even get a decent song instead of that elvis shit

Should only be a season or 2 . If not then it really is a con. Find out your latest position like I did a few months back- compare it to the last one you were aware of- & you should find that you are quite close ie the rate at which you have moved up the list. If I am not on it within 2 (max) then I will defo pack it in cos as much as I love the Gunners, I dont suffer fools gladly & piss-taking I dont mind, but I will NEVER be SHAT on!

Ok

Cancel it now then. If you think you'll be upgraded in two years, you are very very much mistaken. If you think you will be upgraded within the next 10 years, you're probably still way off the mark.

Arsenal boast over 100,000 members. They upgrade 2000 a season. That means a 50 year wait.

By that reckoning of 2000 per year then as I said I should be on within 2 years- ( max) so why cancel now- that would be foolish.

I know plenty of current Silver Members who don't go to any games but still hold onto the membership, depriving vast numbers of Red's who go to every game possible! It seems a crap system!

I'm just hoping 3,000 Season Tickets don't get renewed then I'll be in with a shout there!!! What's the chances of that though??
Radford disagrees, the system is fine you just have to be patient

That`s what I would like to know! No reminders have come in the post yet though. Anyone else had a renewal letter?

I've been a Red Member since the start of the 2004/05 season, and just called the box office to find out my position in the Silver Membership waiting list. Last summer it was 13,000, this summer it's 10,000. I was once again advised that it takes approximately eight years to move up from time of purchase. Presumably many Silver Members will fail to renew once again this summer, so I could move up again in the coming weeks.
