Amsterdam Tournament

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sunderland - wtf??

Ajax didn't qualify for champs league so maybe they're looking for a lower standard of opposition.

And what's this about 500?? I was going so that makes 501!!

We've been displaced by Sunderland! :D :D

Looks like it's Hannover or Austria then :(

yes, we have been invited for some unknown reason. Ajax opened the stadium of light and we had them play us again last season at the SoL- apparently our club secretary and the likes have been working away behind the scenes trying to get us invited to the amsterdam tournament and the hard work has paid off. We are the first non big 4 side from england to be invited so we're quite pleased and more than a little surprised!

Looking forward to the trip across (I've been to amsterdam before when in holland for englands u-21 championship a couple of years back and it was class) and its safe to say that there will be a huge SAFC presence (which im sure is why they invited us!). Everyone i have spoken to is going across although whether we make it out of the bars and brothels in time for the matches im not too sure. We'll definitely take a good few thousand so the atmosphere should be class

Anyway, for those who have been before- can anyone tell me if you get allocated a seat or if it is unreserved? Obviously we are hoping we can just go and sit wherever we want so that all the SAFC fans can be together but i wouldnt want to go there and find that me and me mate were stuck miles away from the rest of the SAFC support (if the seating isnt unreserved we'll just have to pay for our tickets through the club before we get there i suppose)

They have always given Arsenal the away section in the past and it has never been full. Everyone normally just gets in and sits where they want despite the numbers on the seats.

I did once sit in the main stand where you sat in the seats you had and had no problems with being an Arsenal supporter.
