Red > Silver Membership .... and New Season Tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

They only ever move 2000 in total a year (including junior gunners) so you will be waiting at least 5 more years, more likely another 6. I don't think that many people don't renew their silver memberships, £30 is do-able for most people, even in a recession

Well I've moved up 3,000 places from June 2008 to June 2009, so I guess you're wrong!

They didn't publicly update the numbers in 2008 (I phoned them every few weeks to check if they'd been updated). So you moved 3000 places since they were last updated (2007) to now. I'd say I'm right :?

Good luck with your wait though :barscarf:

Got my silver renewal in the post this morning and it says, I kid you not,
"Remember, renew by 8th June to keep your current status...."
What's the date today? :banghead: :banghead:

The club do not have a clue how to deal with the fans. :banghead: :banghead:[/quote]

i've spoken to a silver member who didn't renew his membership, and then during the season called them up paid the fee and had it re-activated from that point on. Red's don't stand a chance. the longer you are on it and willing to pay up why should they help you out.

The 8th of June is apparently a mistake. Somebody rang the club & I believe they said it should read 8th of July. But then again on the enclosed paper Red renewal form it says to renew by 1st of July. :?:

Yeah, I got mine Saturday and it said the same thing. Tossers can't get fuck all right.

Two years ago I enquired about my position on the list and was told I was 18999. As they were not published last year I called them and they said I was still 18999. I asked why I hadn't moved up the list at all and they could offer no explanation. They didn't care a toss frankly. I've been a red member since two weeks after it was launched and they told me back then that it would be about 5 years to go silver and that the move to the grove may speed that up. looks like it was another load of AFC bullshit :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Looks like they're shitting themselves about games going on general sale next season too. I just got an email and from next year on it will be possible for a member to purchase more than one ticket for certain fixtures!

These are the goodies on offer:

Our improved Ticket Exchange service offers tickets, even after the game is a sell-out, as season ticket holders can offer their tickets to you at face-value in a safe, secure and membership exclusive website. For certain matches, Arsenal may offer you the opportunity to purchase multiple tickets on your membership card. This will further reduce the likelihood of a general sale next season.

Complimentary Welcome Pack
We are delighted to offer all full Silver level members a ‘Wherever Forever Arsenal’ pack including a 2009/10 yearbook, exclusive DVD, wash-bag, match-day scarf, passport wallet and luggage tag which we’ll send to you at the start of the new season. You can also opt for the top-up which will also include a discounted annual subscription to the Official Arsenal monthly magazine.

You’ll also receive lots of years round benefits including an opportunity to attend a free Open Day during the summer at Emirates Stadium and other meet-the player events.
