What music lives in your car?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I have several types dependant upon my mood.

For lazy driving I have Eva Cassidy, Michael Buble, and Joni Mitchell.
For lively stuff I have a couple of NME compilations with loads of stuff like Kooks, Zutons etc.
For nostalgia I have The Jam, Madness and the Stones
the wife has one of her cd's in there too. Stock, Aitken and Waterman collection
Others I have include Dido, Beatles, Dire Straits and the best of Ska

At the moment I have a Neil James album in the cd player. Neil is a great performer and a very good freind of mine. He works the pro-circuit doing cruise liners, clubs, private parties etc. He is absolutely fantastic. When he does a Buble number he is better than Buble! I'll never know how he hasn't made the big time he really is that good. I guess it's just right place at the right time.

It could be anything from the Prodigy, to metallica, to nofx, to an obscure French Ska band, to stuff like Basshunter... :?

Flash git
Diggers, he is a norverner. Forgive him, he don't even know what an ipod is mate
 Classic  I'd get an iphone if they did one with a decent capacity (100GB+ please) and didn't sign you up for a ball-bustin 24 month contract

A few points -

- slipknot- yeah, they're on my car playlist too. It's seriously random. Although it seems to be recorded about 10x louder than anything else on there.

- green day's new album - I think it's shite. I've liked green day since I was about 10 (nearly three years now ) and that album is pony.

tons of cds  most now on my laptop and in the car if we are going for a long drive i normally bring
paul wellar-hit parade
ac/dc -greatest hits
counting crows-greatest hits
hootie and the blowfish-greatest hits
and thats about it really
Love the Crows for a mellow mood. Saw them live several yeard back and thought they were shite live. Must have got bore playing the same stuff so they changed the tempo's and notes in quite a few songs which ruined it!

If you liked American Idiot, you'll probably like this one to be honest. I'm more a fan of Dookie and Insomniac. Everything after (and including) Warning has been fairly pants.

I'd still like to see them live (bizarrely, I never have) although the chances of them playing at a "decent" london venue (ie, Brixton or smaller) are pretty remote.

Equally, bizarrely I've never either!!! although, i did try with the O2. All that was on offer was right at the back and I wasn't prepered to sit there to see them.

I started at Dookie but from there discovered the two previous album although they sound very "College American" on there.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams and wake me up when september ends are classic tracks.

If you want a seriously good album that isn't Green Day then can I suggest Natalie Imbruglia. I'm not sure of the album title but it is the one that has Shiver on it. Excellent album IMO. (she's worth a good knobbing too)
