Toure Or Gallas

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If Toure or Gallas leave. then we will need to sign ANOTHER CD not just Tom Vermealon. otherwise we will just be where we left off last season.

i hope its all paper talk because i think Gallas and Toure can still offer alot to the club.

Wenger should be looking to increase the size of his squad not just quality.

The ONLY persons that i would be willing to see leave are Adebayor and mayve one of Song/Denilson/Diaby (although i do like all three in some way.)

If one has to go then I would rather it is Toure. Gallas is a much better defender.
If we do need to replace them then I would still like to see Hangeland come to us.

I´d keep all of them, even Denilson because AW won´t spend enough money to get any players better than them.
I´d only sell Adebayor and Eboue.

Hangeland would be ideal.

And as much as it pains me (and i don't think anyone would have said this last year.) Gallas is the more important defender for us.

If I had to decide between Gallas & Toure I´d keep Gallas.
He is old, but still I consider him as a world class defender.

Id say Gallas in terms of ability, he is the best CB option we have in the current squad IMO, not so great in the air but when he is 1v1 on the floor he generally does very well

Be said to see Kolo go - true Gooner, but think if he stays it will be as a squad player next season.

For me, Gallas is nailed on to leave. If not this year then certainly next on a free. I see zero chance of him signing another contract with us. I don't believe he wants to stay. So better he leave now and we can use the partnership of Toure plus one to bulid on than have to change it again next season.

Should have made this a poll! with a 3rd option for both to go.

ATM and with Vemalen coming in I don't see a need to replace one if either Toure or Gallas went.
Remember we have 6 central defenders including Vemalen. Also Norveit will be coming up at some point. (7)
That said I would like to see Silvestre and Senderous go and replace them will one more.

On the subject of Toure Vs Galass.
My heart says Toure (to stay) but head wants Galass.
I think the experience of Galass and his age would benifit both Djourou and Vemalen. Then two then could replace Galass next year? (maybe :? )

Gallas is the superior defender and organised our backline during the second half of the season, far better then Toure has been for some time

i voted for toure. i think gallas is a better player, but his contract runs out next summer, so we should cash in on him while we can

Galass contract running out could be a blessing. It's alright for us to say 'yes, lets get rid off Senderous & Silvestre etc...' but if the clubs aren't buying we can't sell.

Toure's more likely to go to Man Citeh with Galass somewhere back to France. What's to say that if we keep Toure and sell Galass now that we'd ever get anything for Toure say next year? Citeh my not come back!?

Where as we could cash in now on Toure. Use Galass and his experience for another year.
What's the point of getting rid of your best players anyway?
