It will be a good chance to see our apparent transfer target melo tonight in the brazil v italy game bbc 3 7pm, against good opposition in the middle of the park in pirlo, gattuso, rossi
He made a very good game imo. He´s worth 15m.
I´d love to see him in red & white next season.
Go for it, AW!

My active vocabulary could be better. That´s the reason why I keep my messages rather short.
[quote]One of Britain’s few respected football journalists, Gabriele Marcotti, has claimed that Fiorentia’s Felipe Melo is on his way to Arsenal. Speaking to sports radio station talkSPORT last night, Marcotti tipped Brazil midfielder Melo to join the Gunners at the conclusion of the Confederations Cup.
Melo joined La Viola a year ago in a €13m deal from Spanish outfit Almeria and has thoroughly impressed all in his first season in Italy, even forcing himself into Brazil’s starting side. The 25-year-old had previously been touted to join Inter Milan, but has been linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks. Melo reiterated his desire to stay at Fiorentina on Sunday, stating:
“It’s clear that interest from big clubs makes me happy because it shows I have worked well, but I would like to once again confirm that I am very well in Florence and have a great relationship with my teammates, the club and the fans.â€
Serdar Tasci: Arsenal Lead Italian Giants in Race for Stuttgart Star Defender
[quote]Press reports in Germany suggest Arsenal are in deep negotiations with Stuttgart in order to sign their star defender Serdar Tasci. The 22-year-old has also been tracked by Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus after a superb season which has seen him break into the German international side on a regular basis.
The player was born in Esslingen in Germany to Turkish parents and played at youth team level for SC Altbach and Stuttgart Kickers before moving to Vfb Stuttgart in 1999.Tasci broke into Stuttgart’s second team for the 2005/06 season making 30 league appearances in the German 3rd division before being promoted to the first team the following season.
Tasci made his Stuttgart debut in August 2006 as a 68th minute substitute for Jon Dahl Tomasson in a 3-2 win over Arminia Bielefeld. He scored his first goal for the first team a week later against Borussia Dortmund. That season the defender made 26 league appearances (22 starts), scored 2 goals and was also red carded once. Such were his displays that Tasci soon had to face the dilemma of who to represent at international level Turkey or Germany. Tasci opted for the country of his birth and represented the U21 side in October 2007.
Last season Tasci made a total of 27 league appearances for the club (all starts) as Stuttgart finished 3rd in the Bundesliga narrowly missing out the title to Wolfsburg. He also broke into the full national side making 7 appearances in total after his debut against Belgium in August 2008. Since then he has played the full 90 minutes in four World Cup qualifiers.
At 6 ft 1 he would be another welcome addition to the Gunners squad after the signing of Thomas Vermaelen boosting the club further with his sound defensive awareness and versatility as he can play either in the centre or at right-back. The player himself has spoken out about the interest. He told spox.com, “I have the ambition to move clubs one day, but the time and circumstances have to be right for meâ€

Arsenal facing La Liga competition for £3million midfield target?
Arsenal Football Club aren’t alone in their interest for Mohamed Diame.
The Gunners have been linked with the 22-year-old midfield since the New Year, and reports claim Arsene Wenger is set to move for the £3million-rated player.
However, it is also being suggested that Barcelona and Real Madrid are keen to take Diame, who had an impressive season in the Segunda Division with Rayo Vallecano.
Rayo rate the powerful French-born player in the region of £6million, but they are likely to settle for just half this amount according to reports.
AJAX have failed in a bid to sign Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.
The Dutch club’s coach, ex-Spurs boss Martin Jol, is a big admirer of the Dane, 21, and tried to land him as part of the £10million deal that took Thomas Vermaelen to The Emirates.
However Gunners boss Arsene Wenger told Jol “no deal.â€
