I agree that the opposition hasn't been great but as you rightly pointed out they still needed beating. I think we have played well within ourselves tonight and always had another few levels if needed. 2 played wins 6 points......As good as we could ask really 8) :D

Best game Big Phil has had for a very long time.
Flamini doing a good job as well.
Another victory in a difficult place, so I don`t worry too much about the way we got it

I agree, Wayno.

Still, you could argue that's a good game for him

you boys are so critical! did you forget 2 seasons ago big phil played a massive part in the 10 games we didnt concede in! I think Phil is a decent player and shouldnt be lambasted the way he has been.

PHEW!!! THANK FECK FOR THAT. GOD, THESE BOYS LIKE TO KEEP US ON OUR TOES DON'T THEY? I WAS SHOUTING AT THE T.V. AND MY NERVES WERE ALMOST SHREDDED BY THE TIME RVP FINALLY STRUCK.

INDEED FOR A LARGE PART OF THAT GAME I WAS THINKING IT WAS A CARBON COPY OF THE PSV AWAY MATCH LAST YEAR AND I WAS CERTAIN WE WERE GOING TO PAY FOR OUR SLOPPY PASSING IN THE FINAL THIRD.

THE MAIN CULPRITS WERE CLICHY, EBOUE (I REALLY THINK HE HAS GONE BACKWARDS RECENTLY AND DOESN'T DO ENOUGH FOR ME AT RIGHT MIDFIELD TO JUSTIFY A PLACE) AND OF COURSE, MY MATE HLEB. BY THE SECOND HALF EVEN CESC BEGAN GIVING THE BALL AWAY. :x THE ONE EXCEPTION WAS FLAMINI WHO AGAIN WAS OUTSTANDING 8)

TOO OFTEN IN THE FINAL THIRD THEY CHOSE THE WRONG PASS OR UNDER-HIT IT AND, DESPITE ALL OUR POSSESSION, WE HARDLY MADE THEIR DODGY LOOKING KEEPER MAKE A SAVE.

I'M RELIEVED THAT WE GOT THE THREE POINTS BUT IT MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE BEEN THAT HAD THEIR FORWARD STUCK AWAY HIS ONE-ON-ONE IN THE SECOND HALF. LETS BE HONEST, STEAUA BUCHAREST WERE AN AWFUL TEAM AND WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PLAY A LOT BETTER AND BE MORE RUTHLESS THAN THAT IF WE WANT TO PROGRESS BEYOND THE KNOCK-OUT STAGE IN THIS COMPETITION.

SIX POINTS OUT OF SIX IS A MAGNIFICENT START BUT THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT AND WE NEED TO LEARN TO PUT POOR TEAMS LIKE STEAUA OUT OF THEIR MISERY A LOT SOONER. IT WOULD CERTAINLY DO MY NERVES A WORLD OF GOOD!!
