you clearly havent watched him recently then. hes slower than silvestre, he turns about as fast as an old granny and he just looks like hes in a dream world a lot of the time.

i do think gallas needs to go now so we can get something for him, and if we can get naldo, he would be a good replacement

Sol would fit in here again then no problem.

Naldo sounds good on paper but don't know him too well so can't get too excited.

Seen alot of him?

i saw him a couple of time in the uefa cup last season, when he got to the final. he looked decent, not amazing but not complete shite like silvestre. hes 6ft 6in, so i think he could do a good job, at both ends of the pitch. id take him for 8m quite happily

PATRICK VIEIRA has been given a final £100,000-a-week offer by Birmingham.
Brum will pay the former Arsenal star £5.2million a year but Vieira, 33, is reluctant to move to St Andrew's.
The Premier League new boys have had two attempts to land the Inter Milan midfielder KO'd.
Meanwhile, City's Robin Shroot, 21, has joined Burton Albion on a season-long loan.
The winger links up with ex-Blues striker Paul Peschisolido who is now Burton boss.

Inter Have Not Asked Arsenal About William Gallas - Arsene Wenger
'The Professor' does not believe Adebayor or Gallas will leave the Emirates this summer...

The European press had suggested on Wednesday that Inter were considering a bid for Arsenal defender William Gallas, but manager Arsene Wenger has claimed there has been no contact from the Nerazzurri.

"Inter have not inquired about Gallas, just like Bordeaux has never asked for [Mikael] Silvestre," he told the microphones of RMC.

The Gunners themselves have had a quiet transfer campaign thus far and the French tactician briefly touched on the situation in attack, starting with the potential departure of Emmanuel Adebayor, who has been linked with Manchester City and AC Milan.

"Adebayor? In my opinion he will remain. [Bordeaux's Marouane] Chamakh? He might be a valid acquisition in case of a departure," the 59-year-old concluded.

Given Wenger's comments above, it seems as if he expects Ade to leave and has Chamkha as part of his contingency plan. My reading of it is that ideally Wenger doesn't want Ade to go, but because of recent history, is effectively leaving it up to the player whilst at the same time hoping to get a good deal and replacement for the club.

Indeed, that French Football expert Phillipe O'Claire ? (obviously has some Irish in him  ) said on the radio last week that Arsenal would definately be signing Chamkha. Although not massive like Ade, he said the guy was brilliant in the air and that he thought Chamkha would be a big hit here. Let's hope he's right.

He will only come if Adfe goes though and Ade aint going as no one will pay for him.

We'd be lucky to get 15m.

ARSENE WENGER will not stand in Emmanuel Adebayor's way if he wants to quit Arsenal.
And the Gunners boss has even taken out some 'insurance' if his Togo striker leaves for AC Milan by lining up Marouane Chamakh.
Wenger has no wish to sell Adebayor, 25, who agreed a new contract last season but he has earmarked any transfer cash for Bordeaux's Morocco hitman Chamakh.
The Emirates chief said: "If Adebayor does not want to stay he will leave - although I think he will be still at Arsenal for this season."
Wenger also revealed he is ready to follow up his long-term interest in Chamakh - but added: "Only in the event of a departure."
Chamakh, 25, has been on Arsenal's radar ever since he exploded on the scene in France.
He has all the qualities Wenger likes in his front men - 6ft 2in tall, strong in the air, good close control and a tireless worker.
Defender Kieran Gibbs has become the latest Wenger starlet to sign a new deal.
The left-back, 19, joins Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere in agreeing contract extensions.
Wenger said: "Kieran made such a great impact last season and the progress he made throughout the year was fantastic."

Liverpool Target Udinese's Gokhan Inler, But Concerned By Price - Report

With two of their key midfielders being pursued by Barca and Real Madrid, Liverpool are said to be looking for cover...
With Real Madrid still expected to make a move for Xabi Alonso, and Barcelona targeting Javier Mascherano, Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Udinese star Gokhan Inler should their midfield be depleted by the Spanish giants.

Inler's agent earlier today revealed that while several English Premier League clubs are interested in signing Inler, the Swiss international himself would prefer to remain in Serie A.

That does not seem to have deterred Arsenal, long linked with Inler - and now the Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool are targeting the player should they lose Alonso to Madrid.

However, according to the newspaper, Reds' boss Rafael Benitez is deterred by Udinese's £18 million asking price; the Mail claims that Rafa would be reluctant to bid more than £10m for the player.

While Udinese would be reluctant to see Inler leave, they are unlikely to lower their valuation to that extent, so if Liverpool really are serious about snaring the midfielder, they will clearly have to raise their offer

Inler was on our radar in january, and we were linked to him for £10mil, 7 months on his price is at £18m, and we still have not adressed the cdm position :?:  :banghead:
