Rebel do you think any of the current Irish national team would be good at Arsenal?

I think Aiden McGeady would be good on the wing, Wenger could make him a brilliant player I think.

Dunne has been good for City this season.

What about Doyle? Too inconsistent?

Stephen Ireland has played well for the national team.

I beg to disagree folks, I reckon keane is good enough to play for many a top team purely on his attitude ... he puts himself about, and generally works very hard. If he was in a good team, he would rated world class.

To do as well as he has done, even in a shite team like spuds, u gotta have some good quality.

I also somewhat agree that Berbatov may not be as good as his, sometimes, sublime skills suggest .. because his attitude is not the best. I see him as winger and sulker, who can very easily disappear from matches if things are not going his way. But keane is a true gritty battler.

by the way, I am not Oirish ... :P

I was going to say earlier that I think Keane is a bit better than some of you guys are giving him credit for, but self preservation took over...

Well I just said it anyway.... :?

Berbatov- Class player.
He looks like he's really regretting staying and just seems to be counting down the days till January. Although this is affecting his form, I still really rate the guy.

uh, yep thats it.

forgot about malbranque .. now, here is a guy who I rated very much when he was at fulham, then he goes to spurs and the shit there has rubbed off on him ...

so, I would say (in priority):
Keane
berbatov

possibles:
defoe
malbranque
an injury-free ledley king

CONSIDERING THE REACTION SOME PEOPLE HAVE GOT SO FAR, I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO PUT OUT MY LIST OF SPUDS THAT I RATE AND WOULDN'T MIND AT ARSENAL.

HOWEVER, TAKING MY LIFE AND REPUTATION INTO MY HANDS, HERE GOES:

BERBATOV (TRUELY WORLD-CLASS BUT MAY HAVE ATTITUDE PROBLEM)
KEANE (ALWAYS LIKED HIM. A REAL FOOTBALLER)
DEFOE (MUCH TO GUS's SHOCK AND DISGUST!)
LENNON (GREAT PACE; HE'S YOUNG AND WILL IMPROVE)
DAWSON (CAN'T DENY THAT HE'S BETTER THAN SENDEROS)
KING (IF FIT)
HUDDLESTONE (IS NEVER TRUELY FIT BUT A GREAT PASSER)

NOW BEFORE ANYONE ELSE SAYS IT: NO, I WON'T FECK OFF AND GO AND WATCH SPURS INSTEAD!! :x I AM JUST TRYING TO BE HONEST AND IMPARTIAL. 8)

I wouldn't mind a Dawson for Senderos swap.

Why on earth would we want any of them????

The whole reason they play for Spuds is because they are all shit and will never ever be good enough for the Arsenal , end of story!!!

Gus, spot on target .. was baiting you with that 'cause I know what you think of defoe ... :D :D

seriously though, defoe was a good player at westham, but chose the wrong team to move to .. he needed a team that will give him a regular game for his development, instead of turning into a bench warmer for a shit team. should ave stayed with the hampsters ...
