It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I'm hoping the Aussies can do it. Time for Clarke to get a massive score. Although one wicket for the poms and its all over. Must say I thought it was going to be over very quickly after the fourth wicket.
Clarke's very tidy with the bat. I think if he can stay there for a while, reduce the total then the aussies have a chance.
And if we see as many fours when Johnson is batting than when he was bowling...then we're fucked

MADNESS!!!
Just goes to show Mrgnu, you shouldn't believe everything that the likes of Botham and the other 'experts' that were criticising Strauss for not inforcing the follow on say.
Remember that Strauss is the Middlesex skipper and knows as well as anyone how the surface at Lords is going to play. He rightly said after the second day that the pitch is normally at its best for batting on day 3 - which England took advantage of to score quick runs, whereas if the experts had been listened to, Australia would have enjoyed those benefits and set a stiff target for England to get in the 4th Innings. And with the way we handle pressure normally, whose to say we would have won?
I just hope the critics are as quick to praise Andrew Strauss as they were to give him stick, but I somehow doubt it.
As an Aussie, the World Cup is our bread and butter. Won it 5 times with the next closest being India & the West Indies on 2. Won 3 of the past 4 tournaments as well.
This is England's best chance to win it. Its bigger than the Rugby World Cup. So if you cant win the football World Cup, then this is a good alternative
