Well Done Boys you did us proud

Post by Chunky The Gooner »

Ok we didnt win. Ok we're gonna go to work today and have the same old idiots who support teams who never win sod all take the piss and go " ha ha you lost yesterday" But the way the team played even just typing this now brings a lump to my throat and makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand.
Our Midfield ran the show against a supposed German star and a player claimed to be one the best in the world. Denilson, Cesc , Diably (wow) and Theo hats off to you boys you were imense. Also Theo getting his first goal will do wonders for him and you could see his confidence rise after the burden of 'the first one' was lifted from his little shoulders.
Alidiere looked very interested and I feel he was unlucky to be substituted over Baptista. I saw on another thread about Cashley too giving it to the gunners fans at the end. Also Cashley why was you so keen to be in the front of the picture next to fat Frank when he lifted the cup? You didn't even play !! Never mind hopefully you will be fully fit in May for you trip to the Emirartes and let's hope that the Arsenal fans can give you the proper reception that you deserve !!!!!
On a picky note I'd like to see Chelsea's fouls to yellow cards ratio and ours as well if there are any statto's out there because Essien and Diarra on yellow continued to make fouls and I think Denilson and another one of our kids got yellows for their first foul .

Too right. I don't think any Plastic Mancs, Scousers or scum from the lane can give us any grief, cos if they watched the game they'll know the best team lost. Agree with all of what you've said about our young midfield. They did us proud and outclassed the supposed world class stars of Chav$ki. And was it just me, or did Diaby shape like Vieira at his majestic best when he put Theo through for his goal?

It was frightening yesterday watching Diaby with his long legs evading tackles and charging through the midfield like PV4 in his prime . Everything , the build the stance the running style . He had been out for so long we really never got a proper look at him but the future is looking so good for us lets just hope that we can keep them all happy because its going to be a right old battle for places in that midfield soon when everybody is fit and raring to go!

1) THE BOYS DID US PROUD AND GAVE US A GREAT CUP FINAL DAY OUT.

2) OUR MIDFIELD WITH AN AVERAGE AGE OF 19 OUTCLASSED ESSIEN, MAKELELE, LAMPARD & BALLACK, NOW THAT IS SCARY.

3) DIABY WAS UNBELIEVABLE, HE IS THE NEW PADDY, BUT I THINK HE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE EVEN BETTER.

4) WE HAVE A FUTURE AND CHELSEA DON'T. WE NOW HAVE 2 TEAMS WHO CAN PRODUCE THE SAME QUALITY OF FOOTBALL. WHEN THE RUSSIAN LEAVES CHELSEA THEY WILL BE FINISHED.

Any team who can give a chavski a run for their money like our kids did deserves to hold their head up high. Diaby was fantastic as was Denilson and Theo's first goal was pure quality.

The boys done us proud and we are gonna be a force to reckon with in the future

"Are you Patrick in disguise?!". It was frightening, he moved and played like a Vieira clone - the similarities are just uncanny. Daiby was immense and for long periods he bossed the game. If we can keep him fit, by this time next year I feel he'll be a permanent fixture in our first X1.

I know it's a cliche and of course we'd have preferred to win, but having lost, and the way we lost, yesterdays game may well have just been the spark that feeds the desire and determination to create many future successes for the club.

My biggest fear going into the game was that the boys might freeze. They didn't, quite the opposite and I can never remember being so proud of our team having lost a big final. Well done lads, you did us proud.

WELL DONE BOYS

Before the game i just wanted the kids to play well and give as good as they could. AND THEY DID, just that put out a great performance.

WELL DONE BOYS

its just so annoying that we lost to an offside goal and should have had a penalty. just feels like we have been cheated again.

I would have settled for a loss at the start off the game but after the game and the way we played its a real shame we didnt win it.

Also gotta say the atmosphere in the gatekeepers was amazing before and after the game.

were the downstairs, were the downstairs, were the downstairs, in the pub

were proud of u were proud of u were proud of u Arsenal

BRING ON 5th May

Shit result but what a great day ! Couldnt agree more with all the comments above - thought Diaby had a blinder, support excellent, Traore worth a mention too for such a young kid. I seem to listen to so much shite from so called radio/TV pundit experts - its refreshin to know so many gooners saw the same game as me! I know Cardiff has its traffic and access problems but I think it is such a great place to watch football - seen four cup finals there and every time I step into that stadium I think wow! (didnt think that when visisting Ninian Park for a cup game in 1980!!)We should have at least 3 Millenium type stadiums in England, only the Bernabeu better for me. Hopefully Wembley will be equally inspiring. Disappointing to lose but the amount of 'neutrals' wowed by Arsenal's football seems to grow and grow - this is a special time - Wenger is a genius !

Ninian Park? was that midweek for a replay, which we won. If so, I was there to and my memory is that it was ever so slightly scary....!! I'd always thought that the Millenium Stadium was fantastic. But maybe I've been spoilt by our new gaff. I was there as the doors opened and they'd already run out of loo roll. Exposed pipework in the bogs, didn't let plastic bottles in the ground and those seats without cushions....whatever next!! PS can we throw things at Chelsea players when they visit because "its traditional..."?

i think we can all take heart from sunday, until that awful injury to diaby's big toe he run the show in midfield which when up against englands finest 'fat frank' and micheal bollock would of not been an easy job to do.

We have a very bright future in every department in our squad and its easy to overlook cesc now but hes still only 19 which is scary....but in a good way.

from what we seen on sunday theo has what it takes to be the new Henry no questions asked just needs time to grow into the position which may take a while but every1 can see he has it in him.would love to of seen the babies lift the trophy on sunday but im happy enough means we can play the kids in league games and concentrate on the champions league
