Forum Upgrade/Changes

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Yes, I struggle with change... let's just ease it in... like the bishop said to the actress... or should that be the choirboy?

I would have thought that if you were on safari you'd be concentrating on the wild exotic animals rather than what was on the online gooner forum!! :?

Is there any way of getting a really low-fi (ie, no graphics) skin when the forum is redesigned?

The "alternative" skins on the current forum all look the same as the main one. Some of us work and don't want it to be obvious we're on a football forum

Personally I use and much prefer the light blue King Size Slim 'skins'. Unlike the Red and Green 'skins', they are thinner and extinguish after a few seconds of not puffing - thus a lot of the spliff is saved, as opposed to burning/wasting away in-between puffs!! 8)

Welcome n4 you should start up a new thread and just introduce yourself where you posted this is a different topic.

Hello lads..good job on this forum & thx for the efforts you must put in but I'd like to make a suggestion as this is about forum upgrades...

That the main page is kept ONLY for Arsenal or football chat as it suggests!!

Many of you lot no doubt are freinds in everyday life but for those that haven't met you in person, I don't want to read about people's taxi breaking down or people going on holiday or people making their 1000th post. I certainly don't want to read about Michael Jackson's death or any politics related threads in Arsenal chat.

It don't interest me & might be considered banter but why can't the banter be kept to football related threads & stick these type of threads in the basement or the other sub forums?

Otherwise, you end up with a clique mentality. The board won't progress, it'll only deteriorate.

The thing that makes this forum different to (and better than) the rest is the random nature of it. For most of the long term regulars, that was what we created to be honest - and we did create the "feel" of this forum. If people don't like it and cannot fit in then they should consider looking elsewhere, rather than expecting a whole forum to change to suit them.

I'm not having a pop at you Alex, but it is up to the individual to fit in with the forum NOT the other way round.

For example; I tried the Herd and the Official forums and I didn't like them for various reasons, so I left - I didn't expect them to change to suit me.
