I'm with TS on this one.... Have never rated Flappyhandski in an Arsenal shirt.... every time he goes for the ball, I see him having a mare in that 5 - 1 mauling a few years back.

In fact, almost every heavy defeat in recent seasons has had him in goal. He is really shit.

Oh i fcuking hope we spend a lot of money in the next 22 days

Why are we a week away from the season opener having not adressed the glaring problem in our team, which has been there for years?

we get told at the end of last season "we scored a similar amount of goals as man usa last season, but it was defensively, where they were better"

no shit, we knew that when the season, started but the solution then was "send senderos out on loan, bring in silvestre"

So this season we sell toure, buy vermalen who gets injured surprisingly

We lose diarra and flamini and play denilson and song :banghead:

Why when we have £50 mil in the bank  , have we not already bought the players we need to improve and progress something to do with the new 700 homes we are deciding to builld although we cant shift the highbury flats, but we are told it is "ring fenced" from the football side, like we were told "moving to the emirates, would enable us to compete financially"

From 2007-08 we have gone backwards, why cant wenger see this? :banghead: :banghead:

Why go into the season with £50mil in the bank, and as soon as we lose a game everybody will be blatanly be asking arsene, why did you not spend the money?

Fcuking bricks and cement, is what our money is spent on :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

LOOK....we WILL sign someone..BUT and its a fecking big BUT..we will sign some fecking NOMARK on the last day of the transfer window.
AS PER USUAL.

Wenger thinks that holding on till the last day makes it easier for an opposing club to cash in cozthey need the money.
HENCE..we get all the unwanted crap.

Silvestre springs to mind.
Whos it gonna be this season?

Loads of us went completely over the top re-Emirates cup win.

I think we will get fecking walloped at Goodison next week.

You see, I just don't understand that! :?

I can't see why your views on the team would change so dramatically in the course of 1 week, 1 game... and worst of all, after 1 pre-season friendly!  :?

The reason is because Everton were the best team from set pieces last season and if you have watched our pre season games we look awful from them.

I think we will do well to get a point from the game up at goodison.

No, that's a reason why Everton might win (which is a fair comment, n7)....

What I was confused by, in ****'s post, was that someone , in the space of 1 week, and 1 pre-season friendly, would change their opinion so dramatically! - it's the very definition of knee-jerk.... knee-jerk optimism based on the Emirates Cup, and knee-jerk pessimism based on the result tonight.

Opinions should be formed with time and consideration... not momentary fluctuations of emotion.

That's fine! at least you're consistent and not swayed by ONE pre-season result! 8)
