Cesc would be mad NOT to leave

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I would stay this season, if I was Cesc, to ensure a chance at world cup glory then see where everyone is after the tournament.

Good point.

Van Persie
Gallas
Arshavin

Bet they've all got that clause.

IMO we can live without cesc.
I would NEVER sell him.
He´s the best player in the current squad imo and will be the best player during the next years.

I know that he leaves someday, but his prize will rise during the next year(s). We should get 40-50m at least. He is young, experienced and very skillful.

He wouldn't be first choice at Barca at the moment, that's probably the main reason for him not going, Xavi and Iniesta would be ahead of him for sure, rightly so on their form.
It makes sense for him to stay at Arsenal one more season, then he leaves, a hero to us still, and gets a dream move home.
Arsenal will need to sell a big player next summer and we're running out of them fast.....so I think we can be fairly sure that's when it will happen.

Selling Cesc will be the final nail in the coffin as the players that are left will think 'fcuk this' and look to move too. Unless Wenger goes of course, then we may see a new revolution and new hope.
