Justin Hoyte can run 100 metres in under 11 Seconds. Senderos is fluent in 7 languages! Ian Wright signed contracts without looking how much he would get paid! when Dein asked why Ian just said I'm at the Arsenal LEGEND

The games against Watford on consecutive days were on 31 March & 1 April 1986 (Easter not Xmas). The home game had been postponed from earlier in the season. This was just after Don Howe resigned. We played some mediocre football that season but when Don left it became much much worse. Anyone remember the 2-2 draw against West Brom after leading 2-0?

In season 2001-02 Arsenal lost 4-2 at home to Charlton on the Sunday and beat Man Utd 4-0 on the Monday.

Arsenal never lost a game in the gold away shirt (with either sponsor on the front)

Arsenal were the last team in England to have a "new" sponsor after the original one with JVC.

Spurs are really shit.

Arsenal played the most games at the old Wembley stadium (besides England making them the club team to play the most there)

The 1989 team was nicknamed the cockney champions due to the team played on the night at Anfield being all english, the last team to do that

So it's probably a figment of my imagination. Which is just as well, since I remember Watford winning both games.
This is true but it was 31st March at home and 1st April away, sometime in the 80s. I went to the away game which we lost 2-0 but not the home game for some reason. We played Watford 12 times, won 2, drew 2 lost 8 I think the record was. Then they did us a favour by getting relegated.

I was at that defeat to Charlton and was sitting in the Clock end for my one and only time

The win over Manure was in the League Cup with a second string side :D

Thanks Fuzzfeast and Goonerak, I'm not imagining it after all. And it seems my memories of a double defeat were right too. I managed to get the two scores for those two Watford games: on 31 March we lost 2-0 at home and the next day we lost 3-0 away.

Games on consecutive days (esp over the Xmas break) were pretty normal at least until the early 90s, though playing the same team on the two days was rare.

Arsenal's lowest home attendance was when 600 fans witnessed Arsenal's biggest league victory - 12-0 v Loughborough on 12 March 1900.

Arsenal's biggest league defeat was watched by 500 fans - Arsenal's joint lowest away attendance.
