Vermaelen showed his height is not an issue.

Fuck being a few inches taller, he was up against one of the tallest players in the Prem today and did fine.

If you're going to start a thread for rating the players, the least you should do is give them a mark out of something (normally 10) - you know, actually rate them!

For what it's worth mine are as follows, with Song just pipping Vermalaen and Cesc to the M.O.T.M. award:

Almunia 6

Sagna 7

Gallas 8

Vermalaen 9

Clichy 7

Song 9

Denilson 7

Fabregas 9

Arshavin 7

Bendtner 7

Van Persie 7

Subs:

Eduardo 8

Ramsey 7

Eboue 7

Fabregas was easily the best player on the pitch.

Others looked good against what they usually produce but Cesc is like the oil in an engine. Smoother than a dutch prostitue's landing zone in an Amsterdam brothel.

He ticks everything over, makes space when there is none, shortly if my massive gut could harvest a womb I'd have his babies. And even though it can't I still would.

it's not only about players' performances. song was brilliant, denilson and fab were great, vermaelen too, but the TEAM performance impressed me. i don't want to sound wengerish, but there was commitment (we were marking them in their pitch as if we were losing 1-0, but we were winning 6-0!!), there was teamplay, there was desire, there was intelligence all over the pitch.

this IS our year, lads. :barscarf: :barscarf:
