IS ANYONE NERVOUS

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not nervous, but cant get any fucking work done today as i am a little anxious!

I packed my fridge with beers before i left this morning, i picked up some meat from the butchers, got the mrs to get the BBQ out and got a couple of my mates coming round for the game! Hopefully they go out thee and shut the jocks up like we did to everton on the weekend!

I got my rosetints on for today aswell because i belive  that even with all the injuries we can go up there and get a result! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just a bit nervous... I mean, we should beat them and if we can't overcome the runners up in a shit league like the SPL then we have no place being in the CL... but you just never know with either Celtic or Rangers... we would be a big scalp for them and they will be up for it big time.

If we nick an away goal then I think we are more or less through. Maybe. :?

I think we'll get the result we need over two legs but Arsenal always like to make hard work of it. I expect a very cagey game tonight with it all still to play for in the home leg.

Not nervous....I save the nervousness for the second leg, that is if we don't get a positive result tonight.I'm confident we can get a 1-1 tonight at least.

You bet...what is it with us Gooners that make most of us such pessimists!

Gunner be hard tonite...the jocks will definately be up for it and if Cesc isnt playing I think we'll struggle....(of course hope I'm wrong and we win 3 -0 )

I looked at the fact that there are only 3 pages on the official thread for tonight and thought that the fans are kinda blase about tonight and maybe that is coming on the back of a 6-1 result saturday - of course if you thump the 5th best team in the premiership then surely beating the 2nd best in a mickey mouse league is a formality isnt it ? That kinda attitude scares me cos usually we get bitten on the arse when that happens so hopefully the "keep it real" attitude that cesc spoke about saturday is taken on board by the rest of the players

I know that it is rather a simplistic arguement but I really cannot understand how players can play the full 90 minutes in a game and then 2 days later declared to be major doubts for the next game as a result of injuries picked up in the first game :? I know players can suffer reactions to injuies but it seems to happen sooo often to our players that you find yourself asking if the injury was that bad why didnt they come off in the game ?

I'm a bit nervous cos of the implication if we lose, we need the Champions League money badly and plus the Europa League looks like a Mickey Mouse cup already.

Plus after Saturday I'm everyone is waiting to bring us back down to earth.

We SHOULD win though, as long as we don't do anything silly in tonight's game.

Not nervous yet... that'll come, though.

At the moment I'm just really looking forward to it.

I have to say that I always like to be a small bit nervous before a game whether that be a game that I am playing in or an Arsenal game that I am attending or watching on tv 8) History has taught me that a small bit of nerves is good as it shows I care and decreases the chances of the game going pear shaped

I am all for enthusiasm - within reason but one spectacular victory does not mean the seasons done and dusted. Celtic's record at Park Head is formidable and Notts Forest were the last English side to win there and that was back in the mid '80 s

If we came away with a draw - I would consider it a fine result.

And Yes ! Banana Skin is just what I am fearing. Hopefully those fears won't be bourn out but the players are going to have to be 100% focused - not assume this is a cake walk.
