usual thread starter… So the old charm offensive with the British journos has backfired. Think Usmanov will now plan for a hostile takeover and not give a damn about the fans’ feelings. Doubtless in the belief they will keep coming regardless of who owns the club. Question is… would he be right?
I can’t believe what David Dein has done to our club (9/10)

Dein has lost it - seems to me he's lost it like Graham lost it at the end of his days with Arsenal. Totally delusional. But Dein is gone, he has no shares, he has no say and he appears to have no influence with Usmanov. or 'Fat and Orange' as Arseblog calls the Manc supporter is his heavy mate.
Those that know say they know all they need to know about Usmanov and it ain't pretty. From what I've heard we don't want him within a bargepole's length of our Club.
He wants a major shareholding, ideally total control. He already says he wants to pay dividends (the nboard have not done so since the mid 70's) and he's not even on the fecking board and I hope he never will be. He would add nothing to the Club and take a lot away from it. His charm offensive with the sports press was pathetic - just a shame no business journalists of note were invited because they might have asked questions worthy of asking rather than just show that, as we suspected, he knows sweet feck all about the English game or Arsenal.
He is a market raider who has given nothing to any company he has been associated with so far as I can see but has taken plenty out.
He must be resisted at all costs by board and fans alike.

join the AST to really get involved in the ownership issue. you don't have to be a shareholder to join, just an arsenal fan who gives a damn who owns the club. think membership is £24 a year through direct debit of £2 a month. and they have good events. Q&A with Keith Edelman in the old Highbury Boardroom in the last season there, and another one in the new stadium on club level - the latter with free food and (non alcoholic) drinks. their xmas bash could be in the diamond club this year, although it will cost maybe £20 a head to cover food and a couple of drinks from the bar. they have stated their opposition to any owner that seeks to pay shareholder dividends. yet still have dialogue with all the main parties - kroenke, usmanov's people, david dein and the board. they are the most influential fan group at this time.
