I think that given the role is player/coach he has made a good decision. Getting into coaching is not easy or cheap and if he can find a club that will enable him to a) extend his playing career, b) lay the foundations for a coaching career and c) pick up the cost of doing so, then it is a sound move for him. The fact that he gets to do so under one of the best club managers around is a bonus.

I know Sol left us under a bit of a cloud but nonetheless I wish him well at Notts County.

Anyone think it might have something to do with the fact he is complete garbage now and that is about his standard? I have heard people say we should resign him, what a joke!

I also saw something in the paper at the weekend that said he is the second fastest player in the premiership, behind Walcott, is that a joke? Sol Campbell?

I think he wanted a move abroad again and thought Nottingham, like Portsmouth was another country.

Portsmouth is actually an island...

apparently they just said in ssn that he is the highest paid player outside the pl in 100k plus a week, i am sure even without this he could afford to do a coaching badge

He lives about 4 miles from me and where i walk my dog through tthe common there.

He is often in a small town i played footie for getting his take away grub.

Liked him when he played for us but a bit of a sly move away showed him in a bad light really.

I bet Sol loves being on Big Buck's!

Where did he meet Buck though and has he "dropped down far" on him yet?

Let's face it he has a reputation for following the £ signs so I'm sure County's new owners are paying him a nice wage!

County fans must be loving it though. Yes he may have lost his pace but he should still cut it at that level, plus it should attract more players to the club and show they mean business.

Just heard a interview with harry redtwat, he said if he was at any other club than the **** he would have signed him no problem

Campbell going back to the **** that would have been interesting!!! :? :o

Also heard Wenger saying he will make a good coach one day and that all centre halves could make good coaches, fair comment but Senderos?!?!?!?
