ITV are Crunts!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Dudu made the most of it, just like the majority of strikers would in that situation. Millions of pounds riding on the result.

He jumped out of the way too, thoughts of a smashed leg running through his mind maybe?

If it had been a Celtic pen in the same circumstances there wouldn't be all this fuss about cheating. They would claim it balances out the 2 "lucky" goals we got up there and it would have made a game out of it.

Fact is Celtic tried hard but they hardly had a sniff at goal in both games.

There are good reasons for the fuss pixie.

From the ITV side of things, sensationalism and contraversial talking points are what they need to make their programs more interesting.

From our point of view, it lets us down.

We are Arsenal! There is an integrity that runs through our club that sets us aside from others. How many times do we hear about there being an 'Arsenal way of doing things'. We have standards within our club. We have traditions like the captain choosing the sleeve length etc. They're all small things on their own but they add up to make us a bit special.

Eduardo let us down tonight. He took a dive. Very disappointing for me.

Dress it up in whatever fancy words anyone wants to use but there is one thing you cannot get away from.....it's cheating. There is no honour to be gained from cheating.

I agree completely, with every word of it.

Now it's time to get on with our lives though and to hope he won't do it again.

However, ITV are still complete and utter crunts.

for willingly letting a pundit mouth incredibly racist drivel (or xenophobic, whatever you may want to call it) without even an attempt of stopping him or offering a different (non-xenophobic) opinion on the matter.
for going on and on and fucking on about the dive despite it bearing no relevance on the tie.
for interviewing Wenger in a way that suggests he's a villain.

The way they exploited it was shocking, more shocking than the actual dive. Sky, who aren't known for holding back with the sensationalism themselves did not make a drama of it at all on the other hand.

Seems like we've won too many games recently.

As Kiki said earlier fucking RTE conducted a mini witch hunt at half time and were still banging on about it after the game.

Eddie deffo dived. I despise divers and cheats no matter who they play for and I'm very dissapointed in Eddie for diving, but it isn't like he has a history of constant diving like ITV's/BBC's two English "heroes" Rooney and Gerard or RTE's Irish "hero" Duff.

I'll forgive Eddie this one dive and hope to God he never does it again.

I also agree with Spuddy's excellent post; we are better than that.

Constantly going on about our great EDUARDO.
Putting into peoples mouths that he dived
Eduardo"s momentum took him down END OF!
I wonder if that fecking commentator made as much of things when Ronaldo(THE CRUNT MANC)was diving all over the shop.
I DONT THINK SO
ITV can go and fuck themselves in future
Yeah tottally agree, ITV are!!!!!

I wont go too much into the dive enough has been said on this subject.

Had it happened to ANY other team, they would not have been pillored as much as AFC have been.

FACT This thing goes on all the time, its a strikers job to get into the box and create situations to score, be it fair or foul means.

Unless something is done by the FA/FIFA this will continue to happen worldwide!!!!

I think ITV wanted a much closer game (for there ratings). Rather than dwell on Celtics inadaquacies (basically they were SHIT! I think they only had 1 worthy effort in the entire 180minutes of course that was in injury time) they decided to focus there efforts on that dive. Had we been playing any other of the qualifiers would have been so much fusss been made!!!!????? I dont think so.

Good competant performance by the boys...

and what were they supposed to do :?: it was a dive and they had to show it as it was, if it was the other way round they would have done the exact thing.

Don't like to see Arsenal players diving, but I don't remember a massive hypo-analysis of Rooney's dive against us in Match 50. Don't remember a massive analysis of Babel's dive against us in the CL at Anfield. Don't remember a huge amount of analysis about the penalty wrongly given at Brum.

Et Cetera...

It's because players diving against us are "clever".

Or "not that sort of player".

The reason they bang on about it is they have to have some kind of discussion topic and the fact it was 3-0 on aggregate meant it was game over and they had fuck all else to get excited about.

That is the only reason!

There was no shock for them to talk about, no great goal, no fantastic fighting performance from the away side or near misses just the fact that the game as a spectacle was dead.

If it was the second or third goal on the night you wouldn't have heard half the discussion wasted on it.

It was still a fucking dive though and I hoppe people have the grace to remember this when someone tumbles over in our box in the near future. As much as we bemoan Babel and Rooney etc we do have a tendency to forget the likes of Pires against Pompey. For all the Rooney 50th game stuff the counter is that if Pires hadn't taken a dive against Portsmouth there would probably have been no run at all.

Celtic midfielder Massimo Donati says Uefa should ban Eduardo after the Arsenal striker was accused of diving in the Champions League qualifier.

Eduardo scored a controversial penalty in the 3-1 win over Celtic at the Emirates on Wednesday.

"If it is clear on TV, then Uefa must act and ban him," said Donati.

"I think he should get a two-match ban because it wasn't a penalty. I told him that and everyone in the Celtic team told him that."

If this was the case, Ronaldo would have never played for Man Utd

If he is given a ban, what a joke it would be, once again, we would be picked on, Man Utd get let off every time.

A fair analysis of the first half would have been nice. ALL they talked about at half time was the dive. NOTHING ELSE. Where was the balanced analysis?

Instead we were “treatedâ€
