Should not be a ban as would have been a yellow card offence if the Ref had seen it during the game!

Should be a suspended sentance upon appeal. If Chelsea can have bans reduced following the Barcalona game then this should been also!

This is going to get stupid.

Cheating the ref could be seen as anything

Rory carroll against spurs is one example that come to mind that is cheating a ref, he knew it went over the line but instead of saying yes it did go over carried on. Will a keeper be punished for something like this?

I can see Match of the day having a second program for this each weekend discusing if the ref was cheated or not

The club have high priced solicitors payed to deal with this shit.
Let them lose and get Uefa,Skysports etc dealt with.

Its one thing Ferguson does and does well. The same can not be said about HW and Wenger with their laid back attitude.

We need to stand up for ourselves and stop people pushing us around.

It was a dive, it was embarrassing and Wengers response was embarrassing. Eduardo deserves to be banned BUT this has to be across the board for all clubs. We saw this kind of bollox a few years back when Petit was sent off for swearing at a linesman from 30 yards away and then Paddy was done for 'not leaving the field quick enough' after being sent off. Since then, no-one else has been punished for the same offence even though you see Rooney regularly calling the ref a fcukin crunt right in his face and other players have argued with the ref after being sent off. It's this bias against Arsenal that I hate. I can't wait for a Real Madrid player to do it, let's see UEFA lose their balls then as they won't want to upset their darlings.

The other annoying thing is they will retrospectively do this for a dive but if a player almost breaks someones leg and gets a yellow card in a match but afterwards everyone says it should have been red, then they won't do anything as the ref has 'already taken action'. It's bad tackles they ought to be banning retrospectively!!

That is a very good point, "decieving the ref" is a very ambiguous term

we will cry foul as soon as another player takes a swan dive and gets away with it. then, and only then will people realise that arsenal got targetted and no one else. c**ts.

I think as the Arsenal, as a club of high class and stature should take this on the chin....but come out with a statement accepting this but warn FIFA & UEFA and of course the FA of the president which has now been set. (From Now!)

No point acting like a child that lost his dummy as the truth be told we have sufficient back-up up front with the loss of Eduardo.

Should a similar situation happen again the Arsenal FC should be the club to give a "nudge" to the FA and UEFA.

"Arsene! What you view on Rooney's Penalty?"
"Well, we have to respect the referee's decisions but I'm sure FA and UEFA and Michele Platini will be reviewing the incident."

So Eduardo gets a 2 game ban :?:

This would be 1 less than Martin Taylor got for smashing his leg to pieces and stalling his career for 18 months/2 years!!
