This is the Eufa statement:
``Having studied video evidence of the incident in question, the UEFA disciplinary inspector decided to charge the player concerned. The UEFA control and disciplinary body will examine the case on September 1.''
The charge is based on Article 10, paragraph 1c of the UEFA disciplinaryregulations (misconduct of players) which states: ``Players may be suspended fortwo competition matches, or for a specified period, for acting with the obvious intent to cause any match official to make an incorrect decision or supporting his error of judgment and thereby causing him to make an incorrect decision.''
However what I noticed was:
for acting with the obvious intent to cause any match official to make an incorrect decision
or supporting his error of judgment and thereby causing him to make an incorrect decision.''
if this is the case - then firstly they cannot 100% prove that Edaurdo set out with
'obvious intent to cause any match official to make an incorrect decision'
whether he 'chose' to dive, or it was one of them millisplitsecond decisions where the body takes over from the mind - the old primal instinct thing - or not, neither we or eufa will ever know...and further to their staement...if indeed a / any player
"supporting his error of judgment and thereby causing him to make an incorrect decision"
Then surely every single player in the prem is Guilty by proxy - how many players have crowded around the ref attempting to 'influence' his decision in their favour - or how about how Vidic cuffed the pompey striker - and when the ref looked over at him - he did the Gallic shrug thing and shook his head as if to say - 'I don't know what he's on about ref'
Because THAT is a prime example of
"
supporting his error of judgment and thereby causing him to make an incorrect decision"
I am hopeful of 3 things coming out of this whole sorry saga:
1. Arsenal get the top notch lawyers onto it - and they tie eufa up in knots and eufa say aaaah feck zis ...forget it we cannot prove anything...
2. Eduardo will have learned NOT to Dive...unfortunatley he is the victim of that old media witchhunt thing, where they build someone up - heroic figure - then drag em down and give em a right good (media frenzied) kickin' - especially when it's a non-british person concerned...xenophobia is alive and well in the mind of Tyldesley and all the media!
3. If "IF" they do go ahead and charge and ban Eduardo - then this is same level of dsihing out punishment is done across the board to all players in all countried (yes, I know I'm living in fantasy land...but I did say 'hope')
EDUARDO!
EDUARDO!
ps: you watch that scunshrektwat dive tomorrow and get a pen!

and sweet feck all will be done or said....
